How the iGaming Ontario framework works
The Ontario framework keeps regulation (AGCO) and business (iGaming Ontario) separate. The AGCO licenses operators and sets rules for player protection, responsible gambling, advertising, and game fairness. iGaming Ontario acts as the commercial partner that allows these operators to legally offer games in the province. While operators use their own brands, they all display "Powered by iGaming Ontario" in their website footer.
For players, this structure ensures a consistent level of protection across all operators:

Self-imposed limits: Options for deposit, loss, time, and wagering limits in every account.

1Register at betguard.ca. You will need to verify your identity, and a record will be created.

4Marketing stops. Once you are excluded, operators must stop sending you promotional emails, texts, or messages for the full term.
