Global directory

The complete online casinos directory, unfiltered

The global directory is the full landscape - every casino we cover, across every market we cover, ranked by editorial position. It's the right page when you want the complete picture or when you're researching the industry rather than choosing an operator to play at. For an actual deposit decision, the higher-leverage pages are usually the country listing for your market (which filters out operators that can't legally serve you), the comparison tool (which lines up your shortlisted candidates side by side), or the bonuses directory (which surfaces first-deposit offers available where you actually live). The links below get you there in one tap.

Find your market

The single highest-leverage thing to do on this page is leave it for the country-specific listing for your market. Country pages filter to operators that actually accept you, support your currency, and offer payment methods that work locally - which removes 60-70% of the global noise. We have full long-form guides for the markets below, plus the country selector at the top of every page covers all 232 markets in our index.

Browse all 232 markets

The full country hub with every market we cover, grouped by region.

Find your match

Once you've narrowed to a market, three tools do most of the work of picking the specific operator. None of them require an account; all of them filter on the same independent data the global directory uses.

How the global ranking works

Two distinct numbers appear on every casino card. The editorial rating is the position-and-score we adopt from our long-standing industry partner whose rating methodology we trust and align with. The consensus rating is our own weighted composite that combines the editorial rating with additional independent review signals and player feedback to produce a single sharpened number.

The components that go into the consensus rating:

  • Editorial rating - the base score adopted from our industry partner's vetted methodology.
  • Independent review signal - additional ratings from multiple independent platforms, weighted by source reliability.
  • Source freshness - newer signals weigh more heavily; older data decays.
  • Source agreement - when independent signals agree on an operator, the consensus sharpens; when they diverge sharply, the score drops to reflect uncertainty.
  • Red-flag penalties - revoked licences, confirmed unfair games, persistent payment failures, repeated complaint patterns - all move operators down.
  • Confidence level - operators with more independent signals covering them rank more stably; thinly-covered operators have wider uncertainty bands.

The full methodology lives at our methodology page. The short version: affiliate relationships have zero influence on rankings, scoring is consistent across every active casino in our index, and the algorithm runs on the same data the AI Advisor uses for its responses.

The global licensing landscape

Unlike most regulated industries, online gambling has no single global authority. Instead there are 70+ licensing jurisdictions of widely varying quality - from the strict (UKGC, MGA, AGCO) to the minimal-oversight (Curacao, Anjouan). The licensing badge in a casino's footer tells you who actually has regulatory power over that operator if something goes wrong, which is the single most consequential piece of information about an operator's consumer protection profile.

Tier-1

Malta Gaming Authority

MGA

EU-licensed; strong consumer protection; widely-trusted complaint resolution. The default reputable offshore licence for international operators.

Tier-1

UK Gambling Commission

UKGC

The strictest mainstream regulator; mandatory affordability checks, advertising restrictions, deposit caps. UKGC-licensed operators tend not to serve markets outside the UK.

Tier-1

Gibraltar Gambling Commission

GBGA

British Crown territory; substantial operator presence pre-Brexit; broadly similar protection standards to MGA.

Tier-1

AGCO / iGaming Ontario

AGCO

Ontario's open-market regulator. The first major North American jurisdiction to license private online casino operators competitively.

Tier-2

Kahnawake Gaming Commission

KGC

Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (Canada); one of the longest-running online gambling regulators (1996). Reasonable enforcement; widely-used by operators serving North American players.

Tier-1

New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement

NJ DGE

Regulated state market in the US (alongside PA, MI, CT, WV, DE). State-by-state licensing with strict consumer protection within each licensed state.

Tier-3

Curaçao Gaming Control Board

Curaçao

Lowest-cost offshore licence available. Minimal regulatory oversight, slow complaint resolution. A Curaçao-only operator is a red flag for serious play.

Tier-3

Anjouan, Costa Rica, Comoros, etc.

Other

Long tail of low-tier offshore licensing. Generally not recommended; some operators use these as a cheap entry point to markets where licensed alternatives are available.

Tier-1 jurisdictions actually enforce. Tier-2 has reasonable standards but lighter enforcement. Tier-3 (Curacao and the long tail) is essentially a paid-for badge with minimal regulatory function. Mixing tiers - an operator holding both a tier-1 licence for the markets where they need credibility and a tier-3 for the markets where they need cheaper access - is a common pattern; check which licence applies to your jurisdiction in the operator's footer.

Universal pitfalls that cost players money

Three patterns appear in our complaint data across markets, regulators, and operator categories. Knowing about them is most of the defense against them.

1. Curacao-only licensing

The Curacao framework is the cheapest offshore licence available globally. Operators holding only a Curacao licence have minimal regulatory oversight, slow complaint resolution, and no jurisdiction with real enforcement power. The licence is technically valid but functionally close to no licence. Reputable offshore operators hold tier-1 licences (MGA, UKGC, Gibraltar, AGCO) for the markets where credibility matters, even if they also hold Curacao for cheap-access markets. A Curacao-only operator is not necessarily rogue, but the protection floor is much lower.

2. KYC delays at first withdrawal

Some operators process deposits instantly but require full KYC (proof of ID, proof of address, proof of payment method) only at the first withdrawal request. Verification can take 3-7 days, and any document rejection extends it further. Submit KYC proactively right after account opening - if there's a "verify identity" button in account settings, use it immediately. Reputable operators verify upfront; the ones who don't are using delay as a friction tactic to discourage withdrawals.

3. Bonus max-bet rule violations

Most welcome bonuses include a maximum-bet rule limiting how much you can wager per spin while a bonus is active - typically $5, $8, or 10% of the bonus value. Exceeding it on a single spin during wagering lets the operator void any winnings from that bonus and confiscate the bonus balance. This is one of the most common ways players lose what they thought they had won. Open the bonus terms before you start, set your bet within the cap, and verify the bet amount before each spin. Slot turbo / auto-spin features can default to higher bets - check manually.

Responsible play, international resources

Responsible-gambling support is country-by-country - the helpline that works for you depends on your market. Country pages link to local helplines; the international resources below are most useful when local options aren't available or you want cross-market coverage.

For your country's specific helpline and self-exclusion programs, visit the country page for your market. The full responsible-gambling toolkit is on our Responsible gambling page.

Common questions about the global directory

The questions players ask most often about how the directory works, what's included, and how rankings are calculated.

How many casinos are in your global directory?

Several thousand active casinos across the markets we cover, with consensus rating data from multiple independent review platforms and player feedback. The exact active count fluctuates as operators launch, merge, or close - the live count appears in our footer and refreshes continuously. The total index size (including closed operators we maintain for historical reference) is larger than the active count; the at-a-glance card at the top of this page shows the current totals.

Why is there no single sort order on the global directory?

Most sort axes only make sense at the country level. "Safest" depends on each market's regulator, "Newly opened" tracks per-country launch order, "Player favorites" depends on per-country player reviews. The global default is our editorial position - the curated ranking we adopt from our industry partner's vetted methodology, which reflects the relative strength of each operator across the universal signals that apply regardless of market. For country-specific sort axes (safest in your market, newest in your market), use the country page accessed via the country selector or the country hub.

What's the difference between consensus rating and editorial rating?

The editorial rating is the score we adopt from our industry partner whose vetted methodology we trust. The consensus rating is our own weighted composite that combines the editorial rating with additional independent review signals and player feedback to produce a single sharpened number. Editorial is the baseline; consensus is the broader view. Both are visible on each casino card, and the per-country ranking on country pages factors in market-specific signals (per-country player reviews, regulator complaint records) that the global view can't use.

Why does the global view show different casinos than my country view?

The global view shows every casino in our index regardless of where it operates. Your country view filters to operators that target players from your market specifically - meaning they support your local currency, accept players from your country, comply with your country's advertising rules where applicable, and offer payment methods that work for your market. A large fraction of the global directory is region-restricted in some way; the country view surfaces only the operators that are actually available to you.

Are all casinos in your directory legal everywhere?

No - operator legality is jurisdiction-specific. A casino licensed in Malta is legal for European players (and many global markets) but may not be authorized to serve, for example, US players (most states require state-specific licensing). Our directory tells you who licenses each operator and which markets they accept; we don't determine legality in your jurisdiction. For practical legal guidance, check the country page for your specific market or our methodology page.

How do I find the best casino for me specifically?

Start with our country page for your market - that filters to operators serving you, in your currency, with your local payment methods. From there, refine by safety tier (regulatory backing), payment methods (Interac for Canada, POLi for NZ, etc.), or licence (MGA/UKGC for international tier-1 confidence). For side-by-side comparison of specific operators, use our compare tool; for first-deposit promotions, the bonuses directory shows offers filtered to your country. The AI Advisor can answer specific questions like "what's the safest casino in Canada accepting Interac?" using the same data the directory uses.

How often is your data updated?

The casino index refreshes continuously - new operators are added within days of launch, closures are flagged within days, ratings update as source data changes. Country-specific data (which casinos accept which markets, which payment methods are available where, current bonus offers) refreshes on per-country crawl cycles - typically weekly for major markets, less frequently for smaller markets. The "Last updated" stamp at the top of each page reflects the most recent country-level refresh.

Can I compare specific casinos side-by-side?

Yes - the compare tool at /compare lets you select up to four casinos and view their consensus score, safety tier, licensing, payment methods, game providers, and bonus offers side-by-side. The "Add to compare" button on each casino card adds it to the comparison; the tool persists your selection across the session so you can browse the directory and add comparisons as you go.

Where do I report a problem with a specific casino?

Direct your complaint to the casino's licensing authority - MGA for Malta-licensed, UKGC for UK-licensed, AGCO for Ontario-licensed, etc. The licensing authority is the only body with regulatory power over the operator. We are not the regulator; we publish the data so players can make informed decisions, but we can't intervene in disputes. Our methodology page explains how complaint patterns factor into our consensus rating so persistent issues do flow back into the rankings over time.
