Matching Sic Bo Strategy With Risk
Online casino players can be classified according to the risk they are willing to take. At one end are the aggressive players who take high risks. They do not mind a dent in their bankrolls but if they win they want to win big. At the other end are the conservative players who will settle for meager wins or losses but will want to hold on to their bankrolls. And there are players who fall in between. Sic Bo is one online casino game that caters to all three types of players. This is because there are a large number of bets offered in Sic Bo and players can choose bets according to their risk taking propensity.

Conservative players typically look for bets with low payouts and more importantly with low house edges. There are only two bets suitable for this category of players. One is the Small Bet that pays for totals between 4 and 10, excluding triples. The other is the Big Bet that pays for totals between 11 and 17, excluding triples. Both bets pay out at even money and have a house edge of 2.78%. This is the lowest house edge for any bet in Sic Bo. The Small and Big bets are very similar to the Red and Black bets in Roulette and should be the staple bets for the conservative players.

Players with moderate risk taking propensity will look for payouts between 5 and 20. There are several bets in this category. The best bets are those that win if the total is 7 or if the total is 14. The payout is 12 to 1. These bets have a house edge of 9.7%, which is high compared to other online casino games. But then the bets in Sic Bo have higher house edges.

Players who are willing to take high risks have four bets to choose from. The bets that win if the total is 5 or if the total is 16 pay out at 30 to 1 and have a house edge of 14%. A wager on any triple also has the same payout and the same house edge. The bets that win if the total is 4 or if the total is 17 pay out at 60 to 1 but have a house edge of 15.3%. The largest payout is for a specified triple. It is a whopping 180 to 1. The house edge is 16.2%. Despite the house edge being higher risk taking players can wager on a specified triple because the payout more than compensates.
