Roulette Odds
In Roulette you are always going to have a choice of wheels. It doesn't matter if you are in a land casino or online most will offer both the European and American wheels. The European wheel or single zero wheel as it is sometimes called has the odds or house advantage of 2.70 percent. The American wheel has odds at 5.26 percent. Rule number one in any gambling game no matter what, is that you need to play the game with the lower house edge. This offers you a higher probability of winning rather than losing. In Roulette odds we are going to look at the odds versus the payout so you can understand just what you might be dealing with.

In this chart we have shown you both the single and double wheel odds. As you can see in the chart the single zero odds are going to pay out the same. There are differences though in the odds. For example look at the column and dozen bets. The double zero wheel offers a higher odds at 2.17 to 1 where you have 2.08 to 1 on the single zero. The reason for this is the one less slot you have on the European wheel.
When playing the odds it is best to know what bets you want to make that will win you the most money. The chart explains a little of that, but let's look further. The outside bets with those paying out at 1 to 1 offer you lower winnings, but a higher probability of winning. This is to your advantage. By making winnings in a slow method you have more of a chance to accumulate those winnings, rather than trying for the one in 36 of the inside bet in which one number is played.
Roulette is a game of chance. To narrow that down you have to understand the odds for you winning on a certain bet. Then you need to play the best odds. For most beginners knowing the tables doesn't help as much as learning the bets, so read up on everything before you start playing.
