Oasis Eyes Allegiant Stadium Dates as Scorpions Postpone Planet Hollywood Residency

According to sources cited by Britain's The Sun newspaper, the legendary Irish rock band Oasis is preparing to announce a multi-continent "Oasis Live '27" tour that would include a string of dates at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The tour would mark a significant return for the reunited siblings Noel and Liam Gallagher, who have historically played more intimate venues during previous Las Vegas appearances, including the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in 2005 and The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in 2001.

Noel Gallagher, 59, recently fueled speculation about the band's summer plans during an appearance on Britain's talkSPORT podcast, commenting that with no major international football tournaments scheduled for 2027, the band has "got to do something in the summer." While he stopped short of naming specific cities, the reports suggest Allegiant Stadium is positioned to host multiple shows as part of the larger North American stadium circuit.

Simultaneously, the Las Vegas entertainment market received less welcome news regarding an existing commitment. The Scorpions, the German hard rock veterans fronted by Klaus Meine since 1969, announced a full postponement of their eight-show "Coming Home - 60 Years of Scorpions" residency at Planet Hollywood. The residency, originally scheduled for September 17 through October 3, 2026, has been rescheduled entirely to September 2027, with new dates locked in for September 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, and 25.

The band cited only "unforeseen circumstances" for the delay without elaborating further. The postponement affects not only the Vegas residency but also three Mexican tour dates originally planned for September 2026, which have been shifted to late August and early September 2027. This marks another disruption in what has been a turbulent touring cycle for the Scorpions, who earlier in 2026 scrapped a planned four-date run in India due to unspecified medical issues within the band, though they subsequently completed a six-week European festival and arena tour.

Notably, Live Nation's announcement of the rescheduled dates included no apology to fans who may have already planned Las Vegas vacations around the original September dates, raising questions about customer service standards in an industry where residencies are often a significant draw for casino-resort visitation.

These developments underscore the ongoing volatility in live entertainment bookings at Las Vegas venues.
