Virgin Casino Makes Big Announcements

Whatever the scenario may be in the rest of the online casino industry, Virgin Games is extremely upbeat about 2010. So much so that Chief Executive Officer Simon Burridge made three big predictions for this year. The first prediction was a double digit growth for the online gaming revenues. The second announcement was the addition of 100 new games in 2010. If this is true then Virgin Casino will be adding on an average over 8 new games every month, which is much more than even what Microgaming does. The final announcement was the launching of a new platform that had been in the works for two and a half years.

Actually it will be the new platform that will result in the voluminous addition of games and also in the high growth. Though Burridge has not mentioned names industry observers state that this platform has been developed in collaboration with Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS), who are experts in cross-platform technology. All that Burridge is saying is that Virgin Casino has a custom built platform that is capable of accepting the best games from a host of online gaming software providers. The objective is to make Virgin Casino one of the most diverse online gaming operators in the United Kingdom market. The group's player base has already been transferred to this new platform. The platform covers not only the online casino segment but also the online bingo and online poker products. Burridge pointed out that the platform is backed by round-the-clock customer support from the United Kingdom. It also provides an affiliate software system with revenue share and CPA affiliate campaigns for affiliate marketers. Burridge's prediction regarding revenue growth is not unfounded. Since September 2009 the company's revenues have grown by 20% in a market that can be characterized as difficult. During this period over £450 million were wagered through its operations.

Warren Eloff, Product Manager at Virgin Casino, confirmed that Virgin Casino is on the GTS EdGE platform. He said that it makes perfect business sense to tie up with the best gaming suppliers so that Virgin Casino offers the best brands in the industry. The GTS platform is facilitating them to do just this. Already Virgin offers games from a growing selection of online gaming software providers such as WagerWorks, Cryptologic, Freemantle, Endemol, Dynamite Idea, VS Gaming and Ash Gaming. With Playtech having acquired GTS, Playtech games may soon be available at Virgin Casino. The online slot games added this year include Monty's Millions, Beat the Bank and Call of Duty 4.

Virgin Casino was founded in 2004 and has over 500,000 players and over 50 casino games on its site. It is licensed in the gambling jurisdiction of Alderney.
