Web wallets are gaining in popularity as a mechanism for carrying out financial transactions at online casinos. They offer certain advantages and certain disadvantages as compared with credit cards. Therefore each player has to make a considered decision depending on his individual needs. But if the player decides to use web wallets there are certain things that he must check out before finally adopting that option.

All web wallets are not functional in all countries. Similarly web wallets operate only with specified currencies. Hence players choosing web wallets should check out whether their country and their currency are covered. Web wallets also specify minimum deposit amounts. Usually these are very small to have any material impact on the decision of selecting a web wallet. However players must be aware of what these limits are. One of the most important factors is whether the web wallet allows withdrawals or not and if it does then what is the timeframe for the withdrawal. Some of the more popular web wallets are discussed below with respect to these factors. I think that credit card is still the most widely available solution out there for people to take advantage of and make use of and will be for a long time still to come. Your average player and older players especially aren't too keen on the idea of creating accounts with these alternate casino banking options.

If you're not from the United States then I would have to say that either Moneybookers or Click2Pay are the best options of the above mentioned. They're reliable, secure and have a large percentage of the market share for processing payments around the globe. If you're from Canada I hear that Instadebit is a very good option.

I still think that credit cards will always remain the single most convenient option for depositing at online casinos so long as you pick and choose the right online casinos to play at. Some online casinos have a much easier time taking your deposits then others so just be conscientious of where you play and you should be good. eWallets are a good alternative if you can't first deposit using one of the credit cards that you have available for use.

Agreed they don't have an option but it's definitely always wise to try using your credit card first at an online casino.

Some players unfortunately don't have any option but to use these alternative banking solutions. I think there a sort of blessing to the industry and I'm thankful they do exist for those who cannot deposit using their credit cards.

In my opinion eWallets are really only good if you've exhausted your option of using credit cards with an online casino. My suggestion and something that's worked for me in the past is if one card experiences a rejection that you try another card as the issuing bank of your card may in some cases reject transactions others may not... Anyways eWallets are good don't get me wrong but credit card deposits are just easier.

I think that all of the above eWallets are good, however if you're an American player such as myself just be forewarned that very few of the above online banking options accept and allow US players to utilize them. I beleive that the only ones from the above list that do allow US players to use them are: UseMyWallet and Click2Pay. Other methods for US players that should be used to start with are Credit Cards followed by eChecks (if available) and then the previously mentioned options.
