NetJets, the Berkshire Hathaway-owned fractional aircraft ownership leader, officially opened a 300,000-square-foot private terminal and campus at Harry Reid International Airport on October 26, 2026, developed in partnership with Signature Aviation. The facility represents a significant infrastructure investment tailored to ultra-high-net-worth travelers seeking seamless luxury aviation experiences.

The campus includes a 17,069-square-foot terminal featuring a dedicated lounge, VIP meeting space, and family room, along with two hangars capable of staging approximately 25 aircraft simultaneously. A 24/7 maintenance shop and private airside gate allow passengers to move between vehicles and aircraft without accessing commercial terminal areas. One hangar supports NetJets fleet operations, while the second is operated by Executive Jet Management, a NetJets subsidiary serving both NetJets and EJM customers.

The expansion reflects robust demand dynamics in Las Vegas's luxury travel market. NetJets reported a 45% increase in flight activity to Las Vegas between 2022 and the end of 2025, totaling almost 8,000 flights. Momentum has accelerated into 2026, with demand running approximately 30% higher than the same period a year earlier. According to NetJets president Patrick Gallagher, the city's position as a global destination for premier sporting events, world-class entertainment, and luxury hospitality drives recurring surges in owner travel throughout the year.

This Las Vegas project is one of several expansion initiatives underway across NetJets' infrastructure portfolio. The company has announced new terminal complexes at Dallas Love Field (opening late 2028) and Washington Dulles (construction beginning early 2027), both developed with Signature Aviation. Additional projects include a new terminal and hangar at Rifle Garfield County Airport in Colorado (scheduled for early 2027, developed with Vantage Aviation) and a larger exclusive-use terminal in West Palm Beach, Florida.

NetJets operates in the fractional aircraft ownership space, a market distinct from traditional charter services. Fractional ownership models give customers shares in aircraft or defined flight-hour entitlements within a centrally managed fleet. This contrasts with on-demand charter providers like VistaJet, XO, Wheels Up, and Jet Linx, which primarily offer charter, membership, and jet-card services. According to WINGX data reported by SherpaReport, NetJets captured more than two-thirds of U.S. fractional-flight activity in 2024, while Flexjet held roughly one-quarter. Smaller competitors like PlaneSense and AirSprint occupy specialized niches within the fractional market.

The Las Vegas terminal opening signals confidence in sustained demand from high-net-worth travelers frequenting the city for entertainment, gaming, and sporting events. For casino operators and hospitality providers, this infrastructure expansion underscores the growing importance of seamless luxury travel experiences as a competitive differentiator. As Las Vegas continues attracting high-roller clientele and major events, private aviation infrastructure has become integral to the destination's appeal to affluent demographics.
