Virgin Casino to Offer Cryptologic Games

Very soon Cryptologic games will be played by members of Virgin Games at their online casino. This information was announced through a press release by Cryptologic from its headquarters at Dublin. Virgin Games is a part of the renowned Virgin Group and therefore this deal is a big feather in Cryptologic's cap.

Under the agreement Cryptologic will provide a minimum of 10 of its branded and non-branded online slot games at Virgin Games online casino. The branded games will include slots based on Marvel Comics superheroes and also the innovative slot games from the Casual Series. It is expected that the flagship progressive jackpot slot game from Cryptologic will also be available to Virgin Games. This jackpot has paid out over £4 million in the past and is one of the more popular progressive jackpots in the online gaming industry.

The popular casual slot game Bejeweled is already live at Virgin Games online casino. Bejeweled is based on the gem swapping game. The slot game displays five rows of colored gems. When a group of gems match, they are removed and other gems fall into their place. This allows players a chance to get more payouts on the same spin. Some more games will be on the Virgin Games website later this year and the process will be completed by the first half 2010. The Cryptologic games are being placed on the online casino of Virgin Games through the Edge platform of Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS), with which Cryptologic has a separated deal. This deal with Virgin Games is similar to the several other deals that Cryptologic has entered into in the past one year based on its build-once-license-often growth strategy. Cryptologic will receive a share of wagers placed by players at Virgin Games.

Both Cryptologic and Virgin Games have expressed satisfaction at the deal. Brian Hadfield, President and Chief Executive of Cryptologic, said, "The deal with Virgin is another example of how Cryptologic is building a solid platform for long-term growth by creating and licensing the industry's most exciting proprietary games to the world's marquee brands." Simon Burridge, Chief Executive of Virgin Games, said this deal would be a win-win situation for both companies and for the players at Virgin Games because it combined Cryptologic's record for delivering the best online Casino games and Virgin brand's fun value.
