Some gaming software providers offer a variant of blackjack at their online casinos in which both the dealer's pocket cards are dealt face up. This is a good way for new blackjack players to get acquainted with the game because decision making is simpler and less uncertain. Top Game is a leading online gaming software provider. It also offers this kind of blackjack variant, which is titled Double Exposure.

The game begins with the player selecting a coin size and placing the bet. In Top Game Double Exposure the minimum bet is $1 and the maximum bet is $100. The player has a chance to clear the bet. If he wants to proceed with the game then he should click the Deal button. Two cards are dealt to the player and two cards to the dealer, all face up. The usual blackjack options of hit, stand, double and split are available to the player. The options applicable to the cards dealt are displayed on the screen. The player makes the choices and proceeds with the game till he chooses to stand or he busts. Then the dealer's hand is automatically played as per the house rules. Finally both hands are compared and payouts effected. Once the player has played his hand the remaining steps are taken automatically without player intervention.

Because the player has the advantage of seeing both the dealer's cards the payouts are somewhat different than in the normal blackjack variants. In Top Game Double Exposure, player blackjack wins are treated on par with his normal wins and pay out even money. Also the dealer wins all ties except blackjack ties, which are treated as a push. These changes level the playing field and make the game challenging.

In order to ensure that the player learns to play optimally, the basic strategy is made available to him. The player can view the Top Game Double Exposure Blackjack strategy card when ever he wants by clicking on the Basic Strategy button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Ideally, the new player should decide his move and then view the strategy card before actually making the move. This will help him to learn the optimal play over a period of time. The strategy card specifies the dealer's hand in columns and the player's hand in rows. The optimal strategy is coded in the intersection cell.

The Top Game Double Exposure rules can be viewed by clicking the Rules button on the top left hand corner of the screen. Actually the rules are built in into the software and hence players can wager without knowing the rules. But discerning blackjack players should be aware of them. The most important rule is that the dealer hits on soft 17. Other rules stipulate conditions for double and split moves.

The game settings can be adjusted from the Game Settings button that opens a box. There are three game speeds to choose from. Players can enable or disable the sound effects. They can also disable the dealer voice or choose between male and female voices. The sound volume can also be adjusted. Top Game Double Exposure Blackjack can be played at all Top Game online casinos such as Rome Casino and Diceland Casino.
