The Refer A Friend Bonus

Any advertising executive will confirm that the power of word of mouth advertising is very strong. Some one you know testifying to the worth of a product has much more credibility than even a super celebrity doing the same. Online casinos have harnessed the power of the word of mouth advertising through the Refer A Friend bonus. One will scarcely find an online casino that does not offer this bonus.

The process of activating the Refer A Friend bonus is extremely simple. The player has to inform the online casino of the name of the friend he is referring. The player then asks the friend to register at the online casino, mentioning his name as the referrer. The friend is also required to comply with certain other requirements. He has to open a real money account with the cashier and has to pay the stipulated minimum deposit. Once this is done the player becomes eligible for the Refer A Friend bonus.

Though in essence the Refer A Friend bonus is the same at all online casinos, the details can differ from online casino to online casino. One of the parameters that create a differentiation is the number of friends that can be referred. Many online casinos do not have any restriction on the number of friends that can be referred. But some online casinos do impose limits. The limits are of two types. One is a limit per month, which implies that every month the player can refer friends to the online casino. The other limit is a total limit. Once the player refers that many friends he cannot avail of the bonus any more.

The second parameter that creates differentiation in the Refer A Friend is the bonus amount. Most online casinos offer a flat amount of bonus per friend referred. This amount is not al large as the welcome deposit bonuses. In reality this bonus is carved out of the first deposit that the friend makes and therefore is usually smaller than the deposit. Though is by and large the standard format of the Refer A Friend bonus some online casinos offer innovative twists to this bonus. There are online casinos that offer this bonus as a percentage of the deposit made by the friend. Therefore the more the friend deposits the greater will be the player’s bonus. Some online casinos offer the player a smaller bonus for every friend that the friend refers as well.

The Refer A Friend bonus is subject to wagering requirements just like the other bonuses. Therefore the player must check out these requirements and fulfill them before making a withdrawal. Apart from the number of times the bonus must be turned around there is usually a stipulation of the period in which this turnaround must be met.

I find this bonus offer and scheme for bonuses based on referring a friend to not work. I think it's a waste of time as well and beleive that you're better off taking advantage of other bonuses that are offered by online casinos!

I'm kind of surprised that online casinos are still even offering these. I mean I have a lot of friends who play online and I don't think that any of them including myself have made use of or taken advantage of trying to get other friends to play at the online casinos we play at. Who really wants to get their friend hooked on an online casino anyway, lol!!!

I've tried referring friends to online casinos and they've simply gone there and played. When I've tried to tell the online casino that I was the one that referred them there they'd never compensate me so just be aware that these kinds of bonuses could and in my opinion are bogus bonuses that really aren't worth bothering with.

These bonuses the refer a friend type bonus are crap... Quite honestly do you really want to be the one responsible for your friends receiving all that casino spam :) and for what like an extra $20 - $50 credited to your casino account. It's not worth it if you ask me.

I personally think that they're actually a waste of time refer a friend type bonuses. I've made a few referrals in the past and never ended up with anything. I'd just be skeptical about taking the time to do this if I were any of you out there.
