Wok & Roll Review

Wok & Roll is a 5 reel video slot from Realtime Gaming. As its name suggest it has a Chinese cuisine theme. Wok & Roll is a very common name for Chinese Restaurants. The reels are set in the background of a kitchen and the general styling evokes a Chinese atmosphere. The symbols on the reels represent different delicacies of Chinese cuisine that include fish, noodles, soup, spring rolls and celery. The restaurant, the female customer and the chef are also symbols on the reels as is the Wok & Roll logo.

There is no background music in the base game but the Wok & Roll and the Chef feature have vibrant music. The usual game and win sounds are also present. The best however is reserved for the audio visual animations in the wild and scatter symbols. The Chef symbol acts as both a wild and scatter symbol. The chef lets out a scream and chops of the head of the duck by bringing his knife down with a thud. The text of the Wok & Roll logo is placed in a pan. Full Review - Wok & Roll (9.29)

Wok & Roll has a two level progressive jackpot. Both levels are hit randomly without the aligning of any symbols on the reels.

The players have to wager one coin per payline. They can select the number of paylines and the coin size using the buttons below the reels. The paylines can be varied from 1 to 25 and the coin size from 0.01 to 5.00. With this the total bet can be varied from 0.01 to 125.00

The Wok & Roll feature is triggered when three or more Wok & Roll Logo symbols appear anywhere on the reels. 8 free spins are awarded in this feature. During each free spin a randomly chosen multiplier is revealed at the top of the screen. The multiplier takes one of the following values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 10x. If three or more scattered Chef symbols or three or more scattered Wok & Roll Logo symbols appear during the free spins then further 8 free spins are awarded.

The Chef feature is triggered when three or more scattered Chef symbols appear during the normal game. In this feature 10 free spins are awarded. An "Extra Wild" wild symbol may appear during the Chef feature. If this symbol substitutes in a winning combination then the payouts are doubled. The Wok & Roll Logo symbol does not appear during the Chef feature. If three or more scattered Chef symbols or "Extra Wild" symbol appear during the Chef feature then the player is awarded another 5 free spins.
