Software (9)

A number of customization features are offered in the Realtime Gaming software. The audio can be enabled or disabled by the player. The player can play in the full screen mode or in the Windows mode. The software has a Turbo Play feature that enhances the speed of the game. Game statistics are not provided and some players would find that this is a drawback.

The pay table and the game rules can be accessed by clicking the Help button on the bottom tool bar. The rules are simple and easy to understand.

Graphics & Sounds (9)

The graphics are excellent both in the symbols and in the background to the reels. Only two symbols are animated but both show great animations. The game and win sounds and background music in the free spins make up the audio features.

Theme and Concept (10)

The undersea theme is common, but in Triton’s Treasure it is well executed. All symbols are related to the theme and the high value card symbols have been avoided. The animation in the Triton symbol demonstrates the majesty of the mythological king. Concepts like using shells for buttons embellish the theme.

Game Features (9)

Players will miss a bonus game on the second screen. The Triton free spins feature is interesting. Players have to choose between adding to free spins and adding to the multiplier and this is always a dicey choice to make. The expanding wild symbol should also make players happy because it results in a greater number of winning combinations. The flip side is that it appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4.

Betting Options (9)

Because of flexibility in the number of paylines and the coin size the line bet varies from 0.01 to 5.00 and the total bet per spin varies from 0.01 to 125.00. Though some slot games offer higher total bet per spin, this would satisfy most players. Therefore the fact that players cannot manipulate the number of coins per payline does not become a disadvantage.

Triton’s Treasure has two progressive jackpots that hit randomly. The fixed jackpot payouts are also reasonably attractive given that the slot game has progressive jackpots.
