Penguin Power Review
Penguin themed slots are fairly popular. Each software provider has a few in its portfolio. Penguin Power from Real Time Gaming is set in the natural habitat of the Penguin. There is snow all around. The background to the symbols is as spotless as fresh snow. The buttons that operate the slot game are fashioned as blocks of ice. The Baby Penguin is the wild symbol. The Igloo is the scatter symbol. The Penguin, the Seal, the Fish and the Egg make up the other symbols and blend with the theme. The high value cards from Nine to Ace are uniquely fashioned.
The Baby Penguin and the Igloo are the important symbols and are animated when they are in winning combinations. The Baby Penguin slithers down an ice slide and the sky in the Igloo symbol changes colors. The music is extremely lively and creates an atmosphere of fun.
Penguin Power features the random progressive jackpot that is usually present in the Real Series video slots. Full Review - Penguin Power (9.15)
Penguin Power is a 20 payline slot game. The paylines are activated by operating the arrows next to the LINES button. The coin size range varies from 0.01 to 5.00. The desired coin size is selected by operating the arrows next to the BET button. There are a large number of coins sizes within the given a range. Especially helpful to the low rollers is the number of coins sizes available in the lower end of the range. Since the player is deemed to have wagered one coin per payline the coin size and the line bet are the same.
The Baby Penguin is the wild symbol. It appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. It multiplies payouts by two when it appears in a winning combination. The Baby Penguin symbol does not offer any fixed jackpots. The largest fixed jackpot of 2500 coins without any multiplier is offered by the Penguin symbol. The Igloo is the scatter symbol. Two or more Igloo symbols scattered anywhere on the reels offer scatter payouts, which are multiplied by the total bet. Five Igloo symbols offer a scatter payout of 200 coins.
Three or more scatter symbols trigger the Penguin Slide Feature. This feature offers 5, 10, 15 or 25 free spins. During these free spins extra Baby Penguin and Igloo symbols are added to the reels. A bonus feature has been incorporated in the Penguin Slide Feature. This feature is activated when a Baby Penguin symbol appears on the same horizontal level as an Igloo symbol on reels 1 or 5. Then the Baby Penguin slides across the reels into the Igloo and reveals the bonuses. The bonuses are 5, 10, 25 or 100 times the triggering bet and 2, 3, 5 or 10 free spins. The Penguin Slide Feature cannot be retriggered.
