Realtime Gaming Caribbean Stud Review

Caribbean Stud Poker is a game based on poker hand rankings but unlike in poker each player plays individually against the dealer. The player’s balance is shown at the bottom left corner and the available chip denominations on the right side on the table. A minimum bet of 1 is required and the maximum amount wagered is restricted to 250. The ante and the bet are placed in the bottom center of the table and the wager fro the progressive jackpot on the right hand side. The ticker for the progressive jackpot is shown on the top right corner. The buttons for the player’s three options of Fold, Bet and Rebet are at the bottom center of the screen. The player’s and the dealer’s hands are dealt on the table through the shoe.

The payout table can be accessed by clicking the Rules button on the left of the screen. The Help button on the bottom right displays the detailed rules and procedures. The Menu button on the bottom right opens the Options available to the player. These include enabling full screen, enabling dealer voices and adjusting sound volume and card speed. Read Full Review

Full Review - Realtime Gaming Caribbean Stud (9.34)

The objective of Caribbean Stud Poker is to get a hand that is ranked higher than the dealer’s hand. The player begins by placing the ante bet by clicking the chip(s) of the appropriate denomination. The bet has to be between 1 and 250. If the player wants to place the1 unit progressive bet he should click on the space provided. Bets can be withdrawn by clicking on the chips wagered. By clicking the Deal button the player is dealt five cards face up and the dealer is dealt five cards of which only one is face up. The player’s hand is automatically arranged to give the highest ranking poker hand with the rank mentioned. The player can Fold and lose his ante wager. Or the player can click on Bet. An amount of twice the ante bet is added to the wager. The dealer’s full hand is revealed and automatically arranged to give the best ranking poker hand with the rank mentioned. The payouts made as per the rules and the payout table.

If the player wants to continue with the same ante bet then he should click the Rebet button. The cards from the previous deal are removed and the fresh ante bet is placed. If the previous bet included a progressive bet then that is also repeated. If the player wants to change his wager then he should directly click on the appropriate chips.

The crucial decision that the player has to take is whether to Bet or Fold after the initial hand is dealt. If the player has a pair or better then he should Bet. If the player has an AKQ or AKJ then he should Bet. If the player has an AK without a Q or J then his choice gets a bit complicated. In all other cases the player should Fold. Players are advised to read up the strategy so as to derive maximum benefit.
