Full screen, volume control and speed control options are available as is a very comprehensive Auto Play option. The Auto Play can be automatically stopped at a number of conditions such as when a jackpot is won or the balance increases or decreases by a set amount. The graphics are sharp and they perfectly augment the Aztec theme. Players are transported to the world of the Aztec civilization. The animations are far below what is expected in slots games today. The only animation is when the wild symbol substitutes in a winning combination and if you are not looking for the animation then you will miss it. The audio is also disappointing. The audio during the spinning of the reels is adequate but there is no introductory or background music and the music during the free spins, though catchy, is out of sync with the theme.

Theme and Concept (9)

Concepts of wealth in any form are attractive to slots players and the wealth of ancient civilizations adds mystique. Symbols like idols, coins, necklaces are ideal for this theme. The vibrant colors and the background also augment this theme. However the music could have been more appropriate.

Aztec’s Treasure has both wild and scatter symbols, which have become mandatory. However the trend is to enhance the value of the wild symbol by using it as a multiplier or an expanding or exploding symbol, which is missing. The free spins bonus round is excellent. It has both the features of multipliers and of re-triggering. There is no bonus game on the second screen, but you cannot have everything in one slot game.

The coin denomination range varies from 0.01 to 5.00, which is excellent since it accommodates both low and high rollers. For this reason probably the number of coins per line has been fixed at one. There are twenty paylines, which again is adequate without being spectacular.
