In one of its press releases this week Playtech has announced significant online casino and poker launches in the newly regulated Spanish market. Playtech said that its licensees operating in Spain include a combination of its existing licensees that are operating in other regulated jurisdictions and local gaming and media companies. Using this strategy Playtech aims to uses their market leading position and well recognized brands to maximum effect.

It is obvious that Playtech was ready for the Spanish market prior to the issue of online gaming licenses by the Spanish government early in June. Playtech’s regular online casino product had been adapted to ensure full compliance with Spanish regulation. The online poker rooms offered by its Spanish licensees are part of Playtech’s new poker network iPokerSpain.es, which is the first multiple-licensee poker network to launch under Spanish regulation.

Hence it is hardly surprising that Playtech licensees were among first to launch their products in Spain. These licensees include Bet365 casino, Bet 365 poker, William Hill casino and Poker 770. Their fully customized Playtech online casino and poker rooms are up and running and drawing healthy traffic. Playtech offers one of the best live dealer casino products in the online gaming industry and that high standard has been maintained for its Spanish licensees. The unique Spain specific live casino is aired from a local licensed land-based casino within Spain.

In the coming period Playtech will launch further licensees with online casino and poker verticals in the Spanish market. In this market Playtech will also be adding a new range of products that will include TV games and bingo. The complete range of existing and new Playtech products will also be available on mobile phones and tablets in Spain.
Through the press release Mor Weizer, Playtech’s Chief Executive, said that they were excited to see their licensees launch in Spain. He was confident that Playtech’s innovative and fully compliant casino and poker products would set the standard for others to follow in Spain. He added, “The Spanish market is important to Playtech and a benchmark within the European regulated environment.”

The other recent announcements from Playtech include its move to the main London Stock Exchange and information on its activities in unregulated Asian markets. The Mansion casino group is a popular Playtech licensee. Its brand Casino.com has gone live with a mobile games portal from Playtech. There are two main advantages offered. There is no downloading required and players already holding an account at the main casino need not register again but can use the same log in details. The new mobile offering includes scratch cards, blackjack, slots machines and roulette games for iOS and Android device users.
