In a press release from Belize City last week, Play United online casino made an important announcement about its upcoming releases. It said that two new exciting online slot games with the Marvel brand will be launched shortly at Play United. These will be Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, two of the most popular Marvel super heroes. The main attraction of the new slots will be that they carry the Marvel brand equity. Marvel super heroes are extremely popular and this will create a big initial draw. Then the "thrilling bonus rounds, advanced graphics and realistic audio" will ensure that the games are a big hit. These two Marvel brand online slots are not the only new slots in the pipeline at Play United online casino. The other games in the making include XMen, Blade, Elektra, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four, Punisher-Warzone and Ghost Rider. These new online slot games are due for release sometime during the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010. All the Marvel brand online slot games at Play United online casino will be linked by a "Multi-level Mystery Jackpot". This will add further excitement to the games. This bonus game will be triggered randomly and will offer four jackpots with different level of prizes. These four levels will be named as Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power, and once in the bonus round players will be assured of winning at least one of these jackpots. The release of these Marvel brand online slots at Play United has been made possible by a deal between Playtech and Marvel Characters B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. Playtech is the software provider to Play United. The deal, which was announced in March 2009, allows Playtech to develop and release online slot games based on Marvel’s motion picture brands. At that time Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, had said, "This agreement is a major stepping stone for Playtech, as it will greatly extend the commercial appeal and cross-selling opportunities of our products." I think Playtech will do a much better job too. Cryptologic's marvel slots were based on the comic books which is fine, but Playtech's licensing agreement was for the movie rights which I think is far better for an online slots theme... I cant wait to see what XMen is like!

Looks like Playtech is following in the footsteps of Cryptologic and their Marvel games. Should be interesting I personally think that Playtech will do a much better job executing on these games seeing as their new slots games have been rather impressive. I checked out the new Gladiator game recently that Playtech has done and was rather impressed with the game. That sounds rather exciting. The fact that they're going to be based on the movies will certainly make a difference. I wonder if they'll actually use characters from the movie. Like if they do a Spider-Man game would they use Toby McGuire? Will be cool to see how the games shape up either way though!
