Omni Casino belongs to the Peak Group Malta Ltd. along with CSCasino and SunPoker. The group was hitherto powered by the online gaming software provider Cryptologic. From the 19th of December all the Peak Group gambling sites, including Omni Casino, have switched over to Playtech. Omni Casino has however announced that existing players will be able to play on the Cryptologic platform till the 31st of January 2009.

Important information about this switchover is available at the Omni Casino web site by clicking on the "Important news for players with old Cryptologic software" text in the lobby of the online casino. Omni Casino first lists the benefits the players will receive as a result of switching over to Playtech. Players will now be offered more card, table and slots games; more multi-player games; bigger jackpots; bigger promotions as well as more payment options and additional languages. However one thing will not change and that is the excellent customer service that the players have become accustomed to.

Omni Casino then advises players on the old Cryptologic platform as to what they need to do. A new account has been created for each and every existing player on the Playtech platform. Players need to click "New Account Details" and enter the details of the existing account. They will then receive details of the new account via e-mail. This will include a temporary password. Players should immediately log in using the temporary password and the first thing they should do is reset the password. The second step involves transferring the cleared funds and the Peak Rewards points from the old Cryptologic account to the new Playtech account. This is not done automatically to enable players to withdraw the funds if they so desire. Players should indicate in the appropriate form that they want to transfer the funds and Rewards points. This process could take up to 4 days. Finally players will have to download and install the new software on their computers.

As such the old Cryptologic software will be available till the 31st of January 2009 but Omni Casino is offering special incentives for completing the migrating process before the 1st of January 2009. The incentives apart, players will miss out on the exciting Playtech games by delaying the changeover. Funds that are lying in the old accounts by virtue of their not having been transferred or withdrawn will be returned to the players by check and the accounts will be closed. This process will be carried out by ECash and will take about a month to complete.
