Neteller is the leading payment services provider to the online gaming industry. It follows a practice of updating its customers through blogs at its web site. In a blog released earlier this week Neteller announced that they have improved the services for their VIP members who need to exchange currency in their online transactions. This can apply to online players residing in Asia or South America who wager at casinos accepting payments in US dollars or euros. The usual Neteller fee on such transactions is 2.95%. VIP members at Neteller had to pay only 1.5%. However they were charged the full fee in the first instance and given a rebate of 1.45% next month. VIP Neteller members were exempt from withdrawal fees when they withdrew funds from their Neteller e-wallet. These too were charged first and returned by way of rebate next month.
The news from Neteller is that now the system of rebates has been done away with and the VIP members will be charged the correct amount upfront. They will pay only 1.5% when they enter into foreign exchange transactions and pay nothing when they withdraw funds. The blog, however, clarifies that for foreign exchange and withdrawal transactions from Net+ Point of Sale and ATM transactions the earlier system of charging the full amount first and then issuing a rebate will continue. The blog also reminds Neteller users that should they want to avail of these advantages they should become Neteller VIP members. This status is accorded to those Neteller users who transfer $6,000 to online merchants each month for a consecutive 90-day period. In order to maintain VIP status members have to transfer $3,000 to merchants, like online casinos, each month over a consecutive 90-day period.
Every year Neteller wins several awards for its products and services. In a separate blog Neteller has announced that its Net+ Ninja marketing campaign has been nominated for the award of the Best Prepaid Marketing Campaign in the Prepaid Awards 2010.
