Millionaire Casino has just redone its tournament lobby. It provides all the information required on all the tournaments on offer and enables players to register for tournaments of their choice. The information provided is very much the same as before, but it has been organized in a better manner and the appearance is sleeker and more appealing.

As before, the tournament lobby can be accessed from the main lobby by clicking on the Tournaments tab in the bottom toolbar. The tournament lobby is divided into two sections. The first section, which is on the left, is Choose A Tournament. It gives brief details about all the tournaments running or due to start soon so as to enable players to select online tournaments of interest. The second section on the right gives further details about the selected tournament.

In the earlier tournament lobby in the first section the basic tournament information was given in boxes. Though each box was structured identically, new players in particular would take a while to get their bearings within the box. The size of the boxes was also large and this meant scrolling up and down to go through the entire list. Now this information has been arranged in tabular form with one row provided for each tournament. Over a dozen rows can be simultaneously seen on the screen to make the need for scrolling a minimum. The information is provided in columns with suitable headings, which are Tournament Name, Prize, Entry Fee, Game and Status. The Status details have been expanded and have been coded using icons. The different statuses now are In Progress, Register, Registered, Ended, Closed and Cancelled. A new feature is that by using the tabs provided players can display only the sub classifications they are interested in. These are All (which is the default display), Featured, Free Rolls, Slots, Table Games and Video Poker. Therefore a player interested only in video poker tournaments can activate the Video Poker tab and see only the relevant information.

The second section is largely the same except for two interesting changes. A screen shot of the game is included. Some players recognize games from the images rather than the names and hence this is helpful. The information about the entry fee and rebuys, the prizes and the leader board now can be accessed without scrolling by using tabs. This makes is more convenient. The leader board section displays the player’s rank in a separate cell if the player is a participant. This is a meaningful change and is bound to be much appreciated.
