Net Entertainment Earns Slot Provider of the Year Award

A very important aspect of the online casino industry is that it has to provide its own incentives and rewards for good behavior because there are no official global bodies to do so on a regulatory level. Along these lines, things like the International Gaming Awards provide an opportunity for companies to be recognized for their great work which encourages competition and a general improvement of the industry from the ground up. The International Gaming Awards happened earlier this month, and Net Entertainment took top honors in the Slots Provider/Supplier Product of the Year category for both online and land-based options. This is a pretty big deal, and it comes after they won the Innovator of the Year award in the previous edition of the ceremonies. It's important to note that these are considered two of the most important slots awards that a company can win in the industry, so when they pick them up in back to back years, it shows that they're really on the right track to maintaining their place as a juggernaut in this business.

Although 2014 saw a lot of great releases by different software companies including Microgaming, they apparently weren't good enough to compete with the slots world's top prize. As Net Entertainment CEO Per Eriksson commented, "To walk away with the Slot Provider/Supplier Product of the Year for online and land-based is a superb achievement. It's easy to see that NetEnt is pretty happy about the award as well, but what's interesting is that Microgaming didn't win it even after they turned up the heat when it came to producing particularly high-quality games in 2014.

Net Entertainment is a relative newcomer who doesn't have the decades of experience that some software companies do in this industry. However, their quality-based approach was able to overtake the quantity-based approach that most of the competition was using, and their great 3D graphics and innovative features put them in a position to close the gap and become one of the biggest names in the slots provider world as is clear by the award they picked up earlier this month.
