Multi hand card games have been fairly common at online casinos for a long time now. Some online gaming software providers offer multi hand video poker games in which 100 hands can be played simultaneously. Multi hand blackjack variants are common and even some casino poker games are available in multi hand formats. Microgaming is a leading and innovative software provider. It has developed mega spin slot games that serve the same function as multi hand card games. Now it has just released multi wheel roulette.
Before a discussion on multi wheel roulette it is important to understand the benefits of the "multi" online casino games. Games like multi hand video poker do provide a grand visual spectacle but that is hardly the ultimate aim. Multi hand or multi spin games increase the pace of wagering. Assume that one spin of the roulette wheel takes 30 seconds. It would take 50 minutes to go through 100 spins. And if players want to change betting patterns after each spin then the Auto Play function, even if available in the roulette variant, cannot be employed. If five roulette wheels could be spun simultaneously then it would take one fifth the time, or 10 minutes to complete 100 spins. A saving of 40 minutes can be achieved, which is a very significant benefit. The flip side is that the betting pattern in this case would be constant for five spins and could be changed only after that. As they say there is no thing as a free lunch.
Microgaming Multi Wheel Roulette has the provision to activate up to eight wheels simultaneously. The bottom half of the screen displays the roulette layout and the top half displays eight roulette wheels in a four by two format. Each active roulette wheel can be disabled by clicking on it and each disabled roulette wheel can be made active by clicking on it. In this manner players can enable any number of roulette wheels from one to eight.
The game begins by placing the wager on the layout in the usual manner. The display in the bottom right shows the wheel bet, which is the amount wagered on the layout. It also shows the number of wheels activated and the total bet that is the product of the wheel bet and the number of wheels. All active wheels are spun simultaneously by clicking the spin button. The wheels come to rest one after another but in random order. Immediately and automatically they move into a close up view to display the number with the ball. Markers bearing the wheel number are also placed on the roulette layout to make the situation clearer. The payout for each wheel is shown next to it and the total payout is shown at the bottom right.
The beauty of Microgaming Multi Wheel Roulette is that eight significantly sized wheels are displayed without taking away any of the latest features available in online roulette games and without cluttering up the screen. This is done through the judicious use of drop down boxes. An arrow on the right side reveals the racetrack pattern that corresponds to the sequence on the wheel. Wagers using the pattern can be placed directly from there. The Expert tab on the left reveals editing and using layouts, auto play, cover percent data and enabling quick spin mode.
Microgaming Multi Spin Roulette can be played at online casinos like Platinum Play, All Jackpots, Spin Palace and River Belle.
