Game Rules

• A deck of 53 cards (the standard deck of 52 plus a joker) is used and shuffled after each round of play.
  
  
• The player wagers and clicks the "Deal" button to start play. Five cards are dealt, and then the decision as to which cards to hold has to be made. After that comes the "Draw," as the hand plays itself out to a conclusion.
  
  
• The payout table will list in detail the exact payouts, for every coin level (one through five) for each possible winning combination.
  
  
• After every winning hand, the player has the opportunity to invoke the "Doubling" option. What this does is lay out five cards - one of which is face-up (the dealer's card) and four of which are face-down (the player's cards). The player selects one card, and if that card is of a higher rank than that of the dealer's card, the player doubles the amount of the win. The player can continue to double or collect at any time.

Payout Schedule

Joker Poker has an interesting payout schedule. One can actually receive a payout for Kings or Better or for Two Pairs (actually it's a reimbursement, since the payout is equal to the number of coins wagered). Here are some of the other payouts, all based on the maximum number of coins played (for the lower payouts please refer to the payout table in the game itself, which is not hard to find): Three of a Kind returns 10 coins; then there is a Straight (15), Flush (25), Full House (35), Four of a Kind (85) and Straight Flush (250).

Then there are the combinations that make use of the joker. For example, the Joker Royal Flush has a 500-coin maximum payout. Five of a Kind (obviously four of a kind plus a joker) returns 1000 coins. The biggest payout is for the Natural Royal Flush; that is, the one that does not need the assistance of the joker to be attained. That pays 5000 coins for a five-coin bet, 3000 for four coins, 2250 for three coins, 1500 for two coins and 750 for one coin.
