Major Millions is a popular Microgaming progressive jackpot online slot game. It is also a historic one. This progressive jackpot was hit two days ago for almost $300k. It is not yet known in which Microgaming online casino the hit took place or who the lucky winner is. The winner of course must be overjoyed but to many Microgaming players this hit reinforced the feeling that million dollar hits on Major Millions are a thing of the past.

In 2002 Major Millions set the world record for the largest online casino jackpot hit till then. It hit for over $1.5 million. Since then Major Millions has been synonymous with large payouts quite a few of them for over a million dollars. Till over a year ago the Major Millions progressive jackpot reported some big hits. They were not in the million dollar plus levels but were almost as good being well above $800k. But the last year has not been a very good one for Major Millions. The largest hit the past one year has been at $563k and the average hit has been $366k.

All slots players know that progressive jackpot hits are a matter of chance but yet they try to see patterns in them. The pattern of declining amounts that Major Millions has been exhibiting can be seen in another popular Microgaming progressive jackpot slot game. This is Mega Moolah. The first three hits on this slot game after its launch were of $4 million plus, $5 million plus and $6 million plus. Each of these hits was separated by about a year. But of late Mega Moolah has been hitting fairly quickly at just above its reset level of $1 million.

Another historic Microgaming progressive jackpot online slot game was hit three days ago. This was CashSplash. Historically CashSplash is important because it was the first wide area progressive jackpot slot game on the Internet. It was launched in 1998. The original version was the three reel slot game in which players had to wager three coins of $1each, amounting to $3 per spin. Later the video slot version of CashSplash was released in which players had to wager 15 coins of $0.20 each, again amounting to $3 per spin. Both these versions can be played at Microgaming online casinos today and are networked to the same jackpot. The recent hit on CashSplash was about $37k, which is par for the slot game.

All three Microgaming progressive jackpot slots, Major Millions, Mega Moolah and CashSplash can be played at online casinos such as Platinum Play Casino, Spin Palace Casino, All Slots Casino and Lucky Nugget Casino.

It's good to hear because it's been a while from my recollection since we've been hearing about the Microgaming progressives being hit or any progressives really for that matter being hit as of lately.
