Microgaming is resurrecting Jungle Jim. Going by the teaser released by the leading software provider to online casinos, the explorer will now don a 3D look and carry hi-tech gadgets. Hopefully the other symbols will be spruced up as well from the flat 2D graphics of the earlier slot game. The new slot game is subtitled El Dorado so the quest is obviously for the lost golden city in Aztec country. The slot game is expected to go live at all Microgaming desktop and mobile casinos like All Slots and Royal Vegas on Wednesday September 7.

Jungle Jim El Dorado will be in the 5x3 reels structure with 25 paylines. The Aztec feel will be provided by symbols like flutes, snake sceptres, statues and treasure chests. The low paying symbols on the reels include topazes, emeralds, sapphires and rubies, perhaps in tune with the El Dorado theme. El Dorado includes the popular Microgaming Rolling Reels feature which is present in the base game and the free spins. The symbols that contribute to a win disappear and are replaced by new symbols. Jungle Jim is an Asia based fictional explorer, whose jungle adventures began in 1934 through a series of comic strips. Later Jungle Jim also inspired radio shows, movies and television adaptations. The original Jungle Jim online slot game was released by Microgaming in 2005. It had comically crafted graphics perhaps inspired by the comic book representations. The scene was set in an African jungle and the symbols included wild animals like panther, python, piranha and spider. The original Jungle Jim was accompanied on the reels by the old Professor and his beautiful assistant Susan. It is not known if these two characters will make an appearance in El Dorado.
