When Microgaming first introduced its instant play Flash based software, the casino games included were some of the more popular titles from its download software. Today the instant play software is fast becoming the preferred mode at online casinos. Therefore Microgaming now develops games especially for instant play software that are not available in its download software. Some of these games are extremely innovative. In online slots games players need to get matching symbols in paylines arranged in rectangular grid structures of reels and rows. In two recently released instant play games Microgaming has introduced hexagon and triangle shaped symbols in honeycomb and triangle structured grids.
Hexaline is the title of the Microgaming game released last month and it has the hexagonal structure. The grid consists of five columns that alternately contain five and three hexagons locked together. The symbols consist of hexagons of different colors. Each colored hexagon has a certain value that is determined by the stake selected. When the play is activated the grid is randomly filled by hexagons of different colors. Adjacent matching hexagons, or hexes as they are referred to in Hexaline, that form a complete line from left to right across all five columns result in a win. The payout consists of the number of hexes in the winning line multiplied by its value. All winning hexes are removed and replaced with a fresh lot. If wins occur again then fresh payouts are made.
Hexaline has a bonus game that is more exciting than the bonus games in most online slots. It is triggered when three or more Bonus hexes appear in views after all the wins have been paid. The columns of hexes have different values increasing from left to right. When a hex in any column is activated the player receives the payout pertaining to that column. The play begins by picking a hex from the highlighted column. Depending on the direction of the arrow revealed players crisscross across the grid trying to activate all hexes, meanwhile accumulating the bonus values. If the players draw a cross the bonus game ends.
Triangulation is the game released this month at Microgaming instant play online casinos. The concept is similar to Hexaline, but the grid is structured like a large triangle that contains sixteen smaller triangles locked in. These spaces are randomly filled by different colored triangle symbols. In triangulation a payout occurs if four or more connecting triangles appear on the grid. The connections are made only through the sides of the triangles. Microgaming Triangulation offers a Snap Out bonus game. It is triggered when three or more bonus triangles appear in view after all wins have been paid. Players can pick three of the bonus triangles and convert them to wilds, which can substitute for any colored triangles. And a wild can participate in more than one winning combination. The payouts from the Snap Out bonus are added to the player's winnings.
Both Hexaline and Triangulation can be played in the Microgaming Expert Mode that offers the standard Microgaming Auto Play feature. The standard Microgaming customization options are also available. Both these games are live at all Microgaming instant play online casinos. CasinoAdvisor recommends All Slots Casino, Platinum Play Casino, Spin Palace Casino and Jackpot City Casino.
