Today most online slot games offer a free spins bonus round. This round offers a number of free spins in which players receive payouts according to the combinations on the reels but do not place any wagers. The payouts are based on the wager placed in the spin that triggered the free spins bonus round. Thus the free spins bonus round can substantially increase the chip balance of the player. In most cases the free spins bonus round is triggered when three or more scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. In some cases other defined events within the slot game trigger the free spins bonus round. In rare cases this round is triggered randomly. The two parameters that define a free spins round are the number of free spins and the multiplier. In the simplest of online slots, the rules dictate that X free spins will be given at Y multiplier. In Achilles online slot game if three or more Troy symbols appear anywhere on the reels then the player gets 10 free spins at doubled payouts. In some slot games the number of free spins depends on the number of scatter symbols appearing on the reels. This capsule burst to release an additional number of free spins. Similarly a blue capsule randomly appearing on reel 5 enhances the multiplier for the remaining rounds. Also there could be a color change in the background of the symbols or the background to the reels. I like free spin games but don't think that they are necessarily the only factor involved in creating a quality online casino gaming expereince. I really think that there's a lot more to it then just free spins. I think that the overall game has to be well designed to make for a fun and exciting experience.

They can be some of the more fun bonus rounds. If you guys haven't checked out some of the new Playtech online slots games then you really shout. Yeah I love free spins bonus rounds especially when they involve an additional element where the game can enter into a different type of bonus round different from those that are offered in the main game. Regardless though I like free spins more then most other bonus rounds out there. I find them to be the most exiting. Other more traditional bonus rounds are pretty boring I think at least.

Of all the bonuses I think that the free spin bonus is my favorite. When dynamic elements are included such as making a certain reel a wild reel, adding multipliers, etc... it really makes for some excitement in the game. I think that land based casinos have done a better job in the games that they offer with free spins features.
