Football Keno is played like normal keno but is visually formatted to appeal to football fans. The grid containing the 80 numbers to be marked is laid out against a football field running horizontally. There are five columns of numbers in each half of the field. First the player has to pick a shirt color from the nine options provided. Then when the player marks a number on the grid a shirt appears with that number printed on it.

A football team has only 11 men on the field but in Football Keno the players can pack one half of the grid with up to 15 shirts. Or the player can arrange a formation on both sides of the football field. The problem with that however is that the shirts on both sides will be identical.

The 20 keno balls that are drawn and that roll into the slots are styled like football balls with their pentagonal and hexagonal patterns. They have the drawn numbers marked on them. Tiny footballs appear on the grid in the squares of the drawn numbers. If these numbers coincide with the marked numbers then the background changes from green to yellow for visual identification. After the game is over the sound of the cheering spectators can be heard.

Football Keno Progressive can be played for fun without wagering real money. However, the progressive jackpot is available only to real money players and only to those players who mark 15 numbers on the screen. If under these conditions the player gets a match of 12 or more numbers then he will win a share of the progressive jackpot. The percent of the total jackpot amount won is dictated by both the amount wagered and the multiplier for the number of matches.

Football Keno is very easy to follow because it offers the standard features. The staked amount can vary from 0.50 credits to 100.00 credits. The game provides an Auto Pick feature. The player first selects the amount of numbers he wants to mark on the grid and then activates the Auto Pick feature. If the player wants to repeat the game with the same numbers marked and the same wager he should click the Play button. If the player wants to change the pattern he should click on the Reset button and mark fresh numbers on the grid. The table on the right displays the payouts for the different possible matches. After the game is over the payout achieved, if any, is highlighted.
