Members of the online casino, InterCasino, avidly look forward to the beginning of the month so that they can check out the new online tournaments that will be offered. Normally Cryptologic casinos are not that popular for online tournaments but InterCasino is an exception.

The first tournament offered at InterCasino is the Classic Casino Solitaire Tournament. It runs from the first of the month till the twelfth. The game is the popular card game Solitaire in which the players move the dealt cards to the appropriate stacks. The prize pool is $500. The top eight winners will share the prize pool as follows. The player in the first place gets $250; the player in the second place gets $100 and the players in the third to the eighth places get $25 each. The players start with $500 worth of tournament chips.

In February 2009 the thirteenth falls on a Friday. This is evocative of the series of Horror movies titled Friday the Thirteenth. InterCasino has used the occasion to label is second tournament as the Frightmare Tournament. The tournament will begin on Friday the 13th and run till the 20th of February. The games appropriately chosen for this tournament are the popular Frightmare series of online slots developed by Cryptologic. The slot games are Vampire Bats, Witches and Warlocks and Zone of the Zombies. To make the event more realistic the pool prize has been set to $666, the sign of the devil. The top ten players will share this prize as follows. The player in the first place gets $350; the player in the second place gets $116 and the players in the third to the tenth places get $25 each. The starting stack has also been set to $666 so there is plenty of devilish business in this tournament.

The European Roulette Tournament runs from the 21st to the 28th of February. This tournament is identical to the first tournament, except that it is played on European Roulette.

Participation in the online tournaments at InterCasino is very simple. Players will have to log on to the 'Tournament' from the 'Games' menu in the casino software. On signing up the entry fee of $10 is automatically deducted from the players' balance. All players begin the tournaments with the same credit of tournament chips. They get up to 30 minutes to try and increase their balance as much as they can. The winners are the players with the highest balance after 30 minutes of play. A leader board is displayed that shows the current rankings of the players. Each player can participate in the tournaments only once. The balance left with the players at the end of their playing time is not cashable.
