The eGaming Review is one of the most prestigious journals for the online gaming industry. Its annual EGR Awards, now in its 6th year, for the various service providers to the online industry are one of the most coveted honors. The awards function is attended by all the luminaries of the industry. This year EGR decided to accord recognition to those businesses that did not reach out directly to the consumers but served other businesses in the industry. The categories included betting and gaming software, networks, mobile, payments, recruitment, marketing, IT & infrastructure. The awards were called the EGR B2B (Business to Business) Awards.

The awards were presented on June 14, which was also the first night of EGR’s free conference and exhibition, EGR Live 2010. The venue was London’s Old Billingsgate and over 600 guests attended. The winners were decided after a rigorous judging process.

The names of the winners in some of the categories are given below. Microgaming was one of the short listed names in the Bingo Network of the Year. Its bingo side games are drawing traffic to its online bingo halls. The award was however given to Dragonfish. There were many nominations in the Innovation in RNG Casino Software category, including Cryptologic and Playtech, and the award went to Net Entertainment. Cryptologic, however, won the award for Innovation in Slot Provision against stiff competition from Playtech, Microgaming and others. Microgaming took the top honors in RNG Casino Supplier of the Year. For many players slot games are the soul of online gaming. All the big names were vying for first place in Slot Provider of the Year, but the judges ruled that WagerWorks was the best.

There were several awards in the Services Categories as well. Moneybookers was in the running for Fraud and Compliance Solution of the Year, but the award went to GB Group. Moneybookers was an also ran in the Innovation in Payment Solutions and ultimately went on to win the award for the Payments Company of the year ahead of NEOVIA and Ukash. Regional Payments Solutions are becoming very important in the online gaming industry because players have greater trust in local service providers. EntroPay won the award in this category.

Mobile gaming has made rapid advances in the last year and one of the most prestigious awards was that of Mobile Supplier of the Year. Spin3, which is backed by Microgaming, emerged the winner. Matti Zinder, Head of Spin3 said, "Mobile gambling continues to represent one of the gaming industry’s most vibrant and exciting sectors and is a key differentiator component to any complete eGaming solution. Innovation is the foundation of our complete gambling service; from advanced mobile casino games right through to the professional services and unique revenue opportunities we provide to our clients."
