Cryptologic and Microgaming Sign On New Operators

Cryptologic and Microgaming are the oldest software providers to the online casino industry. Both are rapidly expanding and have announced agreements with leading operators.

Cryptologic has signed a new two-year agreement to license its online casino games to Betsson Malta Ltd. Betsson is a leading European online gaming operator based in Stockholm has a customer base of more than 400,000 players across 10 gaming websites. As per the deal, Betsson will have access to more than 100 of Cryptologic’s most popular casino games, including branded and unbranded video slots and the full portfolio of table games. Betsson will also be provided with the new games released by Cryptologic. The games are being offered through the Cryptologic Instant Click platform. Instant Click enables rapid integration of the chosen Cryptologic titles to the operators own software platform and electronic cashier systems. Betsafe.com was the first of Betsson’s online gambling web sites to go live with more than 70 Cryptologic games in May 2012. The games will be available on the remaining Betsson sites during the second half of 2012.

Ian Price, Vice President of Operations, said that this deal with Betsson validated the quality of Cryptologic games and also their popularity amongst the licensees’ customers. Rudi Thomassen, Head of Games of Chance at Betsson, was also delighted with the Cryptologic agreement. He said, “With more of Cryptologic’s entertaining games on our sites it will help Betsson to continue to deliver the very best online gaming content.”

Earlier in the month the software provider Microgaming had come out with a similar announcement. Its QuickFire platform had signed an agreement with a new operator, Redbet Gaming Ltd. Redbet Gaming, incidentally, is also based in Stockholm, Sweden. Redbet Gaming customers will now have access to a range of the best Microgaming titles, including the unrivalled flagship video slots Thunderstruck II and Immortal Romance. The high payout progressive jackpot online slots will also be included. Alexis Wicen, Chief Operations Officer of Redbet Gaming, said, “Microgaming has some of the best slots online and it was a natural choice for us. The integration process was very smooth thanks to great help from the integration team. The response time was excellent and, in many cases, we received answers within the hour.”

On his part, Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, the QuickFire spokesperson, said that they were glad to be partnering with Redbet. He was happy that Redbet found the Microgaming titles a natural fit for their business. Sandyford-Sykes hoped that their first-class content would attract new players to Redbet. He concluded, “We believe that both existing and new gamers to Redbet’s service will find unparalleled entertainment from our range of products.”
