Post US online casino payments and my concerns
Not sure what you all have to say about online casinos as US players which I know there are quite a few of here on the message board and registered as members here on Casino Advisor but I'm kind of shocked that MasterCard has actually found a way to deal with this whole credit card processing nonsense and preventing us as players from being able to deposit. Anyways this post isn't really so much to start discussing the issues with credit card deposits as their immanent as a result of credit card companies having to adhere to the guidelines and stipulations that will likely be enforced by law when the rules for enforcing the UIGEA come into place this coming June. Certainly credit cards are not going to be the end all of this industry. There has been hurdles like this before and they've come to be resolved. Last time there was issues with respect to credit card deposits for the online gambling industry it only took them 2 months to solve the issue and come up with uncoded payment processing now this time it may very well take a little bit longer to sort out but none the less there will be a solution to do with credit cards that will definitely work. I'm sure that the vast majority of casinos, sportsbooks and poker rooms are already looking into it.

So the question really becomes what solutions will work in the mean time. Well there are still a handful of payment options that work including eWalletXpress, UseMyWallet, EcoCard and a number of others. I would say that for players who rely on using their credit cards to fund payments at online casinos should start looking at getting accounts with some of the payment providers like these. There's still a chance that many of these will get burned as well which could ultimately mean that we'll likely have to start relying on pre-paid cards and other means of payment for depositing at online casinos. Rest assured there will always be a way to make deposits and there's nothing they can do about that in our lousy Government.

Cheers,
Andy

I couldn't agree more with you Andy! There will be work arounds and there's nothing they can do about that. It's going to be a game of catch up and the people that usually prevail are the ones that have the most to gain. Quite frankly those are the poker rooms and online casinos out there.

It's my beleive that there's already a solution in place actually and that there's too much money in Visa, MasterCard and Amex not to take advantage of processing transactions either directly or indirectly and that these large credit card companies do want in on the action they get from processing these kinds of transactions.

Not to worry my friends I'm sure it will all be resolved relatively quickly and that if you are experiencing problems already that it won't be for too long.

I think that they really want to put a halt to those who are the big players in the sports betting industry along with that of the poker industries online and not so much the online casinos that are out there. Really the sports betting more then anything which they have full legal grounds to do in respect to the wire act that was past I beleive in the 1960's. I think that there will be action here that's taken when it comes to prohibition which is what they're attempting to do but in the end no prohibition really works as there's always a way around it. Look at alcohol back in the day as a prime example of this.

The growing concerns with respect to payments that can be made with Visa and MasterCard are a bit troublesome and worrying but I do think that internet gaming companies have the resources and motivation to see things work and will find alternate ways to get things working again.
