Do you play in only freeroll casino tournaments?
I have a question with regards to online casino tournaments that I wanted to ask the members about here on casino advisor to get some input. I love playing in online casino tournaments and in particularly always as much as possibly will take advantage of free roll tournaments. I've been playing a lot of them actually and have moved from playing in just the free roll tournaments where I end up re-loading several times anyways to playing in those that require a buy-in right from the get go. I find that the free-rolls are great and all but that the buy-in tournaments get less play and participants in general and are as a result much easier to score higher in. Tournaments such as free rolls from my experience both in terms of online casino tournaments as well as from my expereince with poker tournaments get more volume and thus can result in a few lucky players taking the lead in the leader boards thus being able to achieve higher scores then every one else winning the first place prizes.
How many of you out there also play in buy-in required type tournaments in addition to the free-roll ones is my first question?
My second question is really have you noticed the same sort of thing as I have with regards to it being easier to win and place higher in buy-in tournaments vs. those of the free-roll type?
Thanks everyone! Wishing you all the very best!

My view on it is as such that I beleive that the buy in type tournaments do not get as much play and thus can lead to your being able to place higher as well. It's something that I've experienced myself so can speak of from my own personal expereince.
As to how many people play in buy-in type tournaments I think it really depends on the size of the tournament. If it's a small tournament then I wouldn't imaging that many people would buy-in however if it's a much larger tournament with a huge first place prize I think that a lot of people would likely be compelled to play in it.
Cheers, Andy

I too play in both types of tournaments and think that most people will based on the conditions at play for the particular tournament that's being offered at the time. I think that one thing that's important to me as to whether I'd be willing to pay to initially enter the tournament and play in any tournament in general is really whether I'm keen on the game that the tournament is being played on. If I don't care to play the game that a tournament is being offered on I likely wouldn't play in it or be willing to pay to play in in more importantly.

In my opinion you should look at the game the tourney is being offered on, the prize, the buy in and the re-buy amounts for value and from these you can really determine whether you think it's worth it to play in the tournament. Personally I think that most online casino tournaments are worthy of play regardless of whether you have to buy-in initially or it's a free roll.
A lot of the time the buy-in amounts for some of these tournaments is so small (eg. $0.99 less than a dollar) that it's worth it I think!
All the best - Ryan

Either option is fine with me and I think that most players will feel the same way in general!

I think that you'll enjoy playing in both regardless of whether you have to pay to get into them as you'll end up re-buying several times if you want to make it to the top anyways. Generally the initial buy-in to most of these tournaments is pretty minimal and thus as a result I beleive that it's a very good thing for players to try playing in all of these tournaments!
