Rumours circulating about US online casinos being legalized?
Seeing that I try to keep up on information related to US online casinos I found that recently there's quite a bit of information out there that's been circulating that involves a potential legalization of online gambling in the US. I know that since the UIGEA it's been very difficult on online casinos to accept funds from player and to in some cases pay players out... Anyways such a legalization would surely reverse this and it would be like it was a few years back... Hopefully Microgaming, Playtech and Cryptologic would come back into the game and start servicing the US industry to allow US players to again start playing.
Anyways if anyone has any further information or knows anything regarding this and or even the reversal of the UIGEA it would be greatly appreciated if you could reply to my post on this subject here on Casino Advisor.

There's no doubt that the wheels are in motion and that ever since the passing of the UIGEA that there has been a movement in the US to legalize online gaming rather then focusing on banning an industry that would be virtually impossible to ban on any level. The fact of the matter is that if players want to play they're going to find a way to play regardless of what kind of measures are put into place. Additionally online casinos, poker and bingo rooms are very good at adapting to whatever obstacles are thrown it's way.
Enough with my rant... anyways I do think that although there's definitely no real certainty with regards to the outlook of online gaming in the US there's no doubt in my mind that actions being taken right now are being done so in a positive light and there's a good chance that there'll be regulation in a few years or so.

From my understanding based on my readings so far it does certainly seem as though there is a push for regulation and there's no doubt that this is something that really is on the forefront of new age thinking for the United States it's just a matter of whether it would ever come to pass and work 100%. I'm not sure how it would be structured but from what I understand about interstate gambling rules in the US regulating the online gaming market seeing as each state has their own set of laws related to gaming would be difficult. First it may need to pass that online casino gambling and online gambling in general is controlled on a federal level vs. a state by state level.
