Winning combinations are only paid off on enabled paylines. In Main Course there are up to 30 paylines that can be enabled with the "Select Lines" button at the bottom of the interface. Combinations pay from left to right, and must start on Reel #1.

Regular Payout Schedule

Scatter combinations pay out as well. Main Course features two scatter symbols - Chefs Pierre and Gordan. You must have at least three of them, scattered anywhere on the reels for a winning combination. Here are the payouts on those scatters:
