John Grochowski, is a guru when it comes to playing casino slots, he writes for a number of newspapers as well as online publications and has published a variety of well-received books dealing with the gaming industry.

I enjoyed reading this book and learned a lot from it. What I mostly liked about the book is that it's separated into ten sections. It covers how the slots work, how to beat the odds and where to play for the best playbacks, and most importantly it covers in clear detail the development of the game. I personally found Grochowski to be very honest and accurate as he focuses on specific beatable games and acknowledges the fact that games come and go. He is realistic as he focuses on explaining the principles of finding beatable games. The author also quizzes you by throwing in a number of strategically based questions, which allow you to think about the answer first before following up with his answer. I personally found this helpful as it gave me a chance to test my own knowledge.

This book was first published in 1999, and has been released in a 2nd Edition, which is an updated version covering the changes that many slot machines have undergone in the last six years. The book gives you 200 questions in total, therefore, you will feel more knowledgeable when you're finished with the book and ready to tackle on the slots in real gaming situations.
