Rank Interactive to Feature Cryptologic Games

The leading European online gaming operator, Rank Interactive, has become the 28th licensee of Cryptologic. Cryptologic is the popular online casino software provider that has embarked on a policy of offering its proprietary games to gaming operators on their existing platforms. The details of the agreement between Rank Interactive and Cryptologic were announced through a press release from the latter’s headquarters at Dublin.

According to the agreement Cryptologic will offer at least 10 of its slot games to the Rank Interactive group of online casinos. The games will include both the branded slot games, that are extremely popular at all Cryptologic casinos, and also the unbranded ones. Two of the games can already be played at the Rank Interactive casinos. Some more games will be released during the current year and the balance in the first half of 2010. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, but it has been stated that the agreement will run for a number of years.

The Cryptologic games will be featured at the Rank Interactive casinos through Orbis Technology. In December 2008 Cryptologic had signed a separate agreement with Orbis Technology for providing its games to their customers through the latter’s Fixed Odd Games platform. The current deal with Rank Interactive is an extension of the earlier deal with Orbis Technology. Centrebet and Paddy Power are some of the other Orbis Technology customers to whom Cryptologic has already provided its games under similar agreements.

Justin Thouin, Vice-President of Cryptologic, said, "Demand for our games remains strong as illustrated by this agreement with Rank Interactive, a well respected UK brand. With each new licensee, we open up a new recurring revenue stream that will improve our profitability and long term growth prospects."

Rank Interactive is indeed a prestigious client for Cryptologic. It is a division of Rank Group Plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The online casinos operated by Rank Interactive include Blue Square, Mecca Bingo and G Casino. Blue Square and G Casino offer online sports betting, poker and games apart from the online casino. Rank Interactive was established in 1999 and has over 300,000 active members from Great Britain, Germany Denmark and Sweden. It has posted an annual turnover of over £50 million.

Angus Nisbet, Gaming Director at Rank Interactive, has expressed his satisfaction at the agreement. He said that one of the objectives at Rank Interactive is to expand on their games portfolio. This deal with Cryptologic would allow their members access to some of the most popular and innovative online games in the industry.
