Playtech's flagship online progressive slot game, Beach Life, has made yet another millionaire. It hit for $1,552,778 yesterday and after being reset to its starting value of $50,000 it is now at $57k. In the last 12 months Beach Life has 5 times, including this last hit. Three of the hits have been over a million dollars, the first one being over 4 million dollars. The total payout during this period has been over $9 million at an average of over $1.8 million.

Recently Beach Life has received considerable adverse publicity, but it is apparent that despite that it remains an extremely popular online progressive jackpot slot. The most recent report was from South Africa. Marie Van Wyk agreed to accept her progressive jackpot prize in installments from African Palace Casino. She received two installments and then the payments dried up. Marie went public with her grievance and the press even contacted the online casino. However at the time of the news item Marie was still running from pillar to post. Sylvia, who was the winner of the over $4 million jackpot, also reported a problem. She was pressurized into settling for half the amount by Joyland Casino.

The current winner must have been contacted by the online casino where he or she made the hit. As of now neither the name of the winner nor of the online casino where the hit was made are known. The winner will no doubt be feeling elated at the win. But there are bound to be apprehensions as well. Will the winner meet the same fate as Marie and Sylvia? Perhaps not. Playtech, for one, would do its best to ensure that its leading slot game does not receive a third round of adverse publicity. Casinomeister has entered the picture as well and has waged war on the terms and conditions the online casinos were using to renege on their responsibilities.

With Beach Life having been hit the pecking order of Playtech progressive jackpot slots has changed. Gold Rally is the leader now at $856k, just a bit short of its average of the last 12 months. It has had three million dollar plus hits in the last 12 months, though nothing anywhere close to Beach Life's $4 million hit. The question on everyone's mind is will it cross the million dollar mark or will it hit before that. It is currently climbing at $20k a day so the next week or ten days should be decisive. Beach Life and Gold Rally are the two big paying Playtech progressive slots. Lower down are Wall Street Fever at $108k, Queen of the Pyramids at $94k and Safe Cracker at $58k.
