The two have come together and have announced a range of products that will protect online gaming operators from direct and indirect costs associated with account takeover and denial of services.

The first product is VeriSign Identity Protection (VIP). VIP is a cloud based real time authentication system that protects players' accounts from being taken over by third parties. This also eliminates the costs associated with the losses and investigation of account takeover that is incurred by operators. The availability of VIP at an Internet service provider also acts strategically by enhancing customer trust and increasing lifetime value of a player. Phil D'Angio, head of business development at VeriSign, said that the combination of security and customer trust makes VIP an ideal product for the online gaming industry. Chocolate Consulting is helping VeriSign to fine tune and market this product to Internet casinos. This will increase the level of banking security that they offer to the players. The second product that will be offered to the online gaming industry through this partnership is VeriSign's Internet Defense Network (VIDN). The problem as it currently exists in this sector is that DDOS attacks have become so sophisticated that they cannot be detected let alone prevented. Chocolate and VeriSign are bringing this application to the online gaming industry where the DDOS attacks have increased in intensity in the last six months.
