Online Casino Bonus Systems

Online casino bonuses are one of the attractions of online casinos that differentiate them from brick and mortar casinos. The main bonus is the welcome bonus, which is offered to attract new players. The bonuses have two aspects to them. One is the structure of the bonus and the other is the wagering requirement. The different online suppliers have built in different bonus mechanisms into their software. Most online casino disputes relate to bonuses and therefore players should thoroughly understand the bonus mechanism before wagering.

Microgaming has made significant changes in its bonus system recently and most Microgaming online casinos are now offering the new free spin no deposit welcome bonus. Once players complete the registration they are given a number of free spins that they have to complete within a specified time period. They are also given an initial playing credit balance. At the end of the period the player gets to keep the winnings. Microgaming has also introduced the Clearplay wagering requirements. This separates the cash from the bonuses and allows for automatic transfer of bonuses to the cash account in a transparent manner.

Cryptologic casinos offer the welcome bonus in the standard form of X% of the initial deposit up to a maximum of $Y. Each Cryptologic online casino decides its own values for X and Y. The online casinos provide bonus codes and it is mandatory to enter these codes before making the deposit. The wagering requirements also vary from casino to casino. The wagering requirements apply only to the bonus amount and not to the bonus and deposit amount. Only the winnings from the bonus can be withdrawn and not the bonus. The online casinos specify the games on which the wagering requirements are to be met.

Real Time Gaming online casinos like One Club Casino and Rushmore Casino generally offer the welcome bonus spread over more than one deposit. This makes it easier for the player, who does not have to put up a large deposit upfront. Entering of the given bonus code is mandatory. Some Real Time Gaming online casinos require both the deposit and the bonus to be wagered but have lower wagering requirements. Others require only the bonus to be wagered but have larger wagering requirements.

Vegas Technology online casinos too offer the welcome bonus spread over multiple deposits. The amount of the bonus varies from casino to casino. However the wagering requirements are uniform. The bonus and deposit both need to be wagered 20 times on the specified games. The bonus is credited into a separate account. The wager is first placed from the bonus account and the winnings if any are credited to the cash account. Vegas Technology casinos do not require the specification of a bonus code. The bonuses are credited automatically. If a player wants to play without the bonus he must inform the casino before making the deposit.

I don't see that many problems with the way things currently are. I know that a while back these bonus systems were pretty lousy but there has been a lot of improvement over the years!

There are good bonus systems and bad bonus systems out there that online casinos offer within their casinos. For the most part though I have to say that they're bad, lol...

I no really like the bonus systems where you have to enter bonus codes like at Intercasino. I like it much better when you can just deposit and get free money from the casinos.

Definitely! I find that there are some really great online casino bonuses that can be taken advantage of out there these days!

These have definitely gotten much better over time and I think that online casinos have their bonus schemes and structures down to a science. I beleive that the best ones though are the bonuses that are multi-level and can be claimed with a simple bonus code or better yet automatically.

Most of the casinos are now offering a better system of dealing with online casino bonuses. I think that most players avail of bonuses so it's worth playing at casinos that don't make it overly difficult or convoluted in the process of not only claiming your bonus but more importantly cashing out when you actually want to. There's nothing worse then being told that you can't take out your money when playing at an online casino!

When the ambiguity is completely stripped away from the whole online casino bonus scheme I think I'd be much happier. Right now even with the best systems out there for managing the separation between your bonus and cash balance there is still a certain level of ambiguity that I don't really like myself.

I think that best systems are the ones that leave us as players feeling like we understand what the heck is going on. Sometimes the ambiguity would seem as though it's designed so the casino can turn around at any point and say oh sorry you're no longer eligible for the bonus or oh you need to still meet this requirement. Having some clarity and more importantly transparency in bonus systems is key I think at least.

I like the way that Wizard Gaming and Vegas Technology do it. It's nice to see a separation of your bonus balance and your cash balance at the casino. Just like Bonnie had said there's a clear distinction between the two so it definitely leads to far less phone calls to customer support and hassles.

I'm a big fan of bonus systems that don't require having to deal with a convoluted set of wagering and play through requirements. I support Microgaming's system which makes a clear distinction between your cash balance and bonus balance that you have available.
