There are two news items from the pioneer online casino software developer, Microgaming. Both are unrelated but both display the leading role taken by Microgaming.

The online gaming industry is growing at a rapid rate and will need induction of trained manpower. In order to help create this human resources asset, Microgaming has partnered with training company People Dimensions. The result is the launch of three new training solutions for the online gambling industry. These are the Introductory Certificate in eGaming Programs, the Intermediate eGaming Essentials Course and the Advanced Tailored Training. Not only are these training solutions innovative in nature, but they are being are presented by experienced training and online gambling industry experts.

The objective of the Introductory Certificate is to provide orientation to new employees and to develop the online gambling industry related awareness of existing employees. This course is conducted for online gambling companies.

The Intermediate eGaming Essentials Course builds upon the key features of the introductory course and is based on case studies on specialist areas. It is a public course and can be taken by individuals who want to be better equipped with the essential skills and knowledge for pursuing a successful career in the online gambling industry. The prerequisite is a number of years experience in the industry.

The Advanced Tailored Training solutions are offered in the form of comprehensive courses in all areas of personal and business development. Individuals can utilize them to build on their skills in the sector, whereas online casino operators can use them to broaden their competitive advantage.

Lee Harrison, managing director of People Dimensions explained that they had identified that there was a gap in the market for training solutions for the online gambling industry. He added, "For over a decade, Microgaming has been an industry leader and its exceptional heritage, combined with incomparable industry knowledge, will be hugely valuable for this venture."

The second news item pertains to the QuickFire platform of Microgaming. The number of customers accessing Microgaming online casino games through this flash platform increases by the day. QuickFire has announced that it has signed deals with two new operators, Cashball Network and Red Star Poker. The Isle of Man based online casino Cashball Network is owned by NYX Interactive and Red Star Poker is a well-established online poker room.
