New Dice Games Being Offered at Casinos

In the online gaming industry the first mover advantage is very high. Dice have always been associated with gambling but as of now the only dice game of any consequence is craps. Soon this gap in the online gaming industry will be filled. This fall Jadestone will be introducing a range of thrilling dice games for online gaming.

Jadestone is a Swedish online gaming software provider. It has developed a special network, like poker networks, for these dice games. The network has been registered as DiceArena. DiceArena plans to cater to the entire spectrum of the online gaming industry. The launch will be initiated with two games and more games will be added later on. Of the inaugural games Dice Hold'em will be oriented to serious gamblers while Shoot the Moons will attract the casual player. The other games in the works are Backgammon and Liar's Dice. Backgammon already has a strong online presence though not as a gambling game and Liar's Dice was immortalized by Johnny Depp in the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean. Announcing this venture Robert Henrysson, Chief Executive Officer of Jadestone said, "Billions of people have played with dice. We all know how to shoot dice and immediately associate it with exciting social game play. We're now taking that feeling online with DiceArena. With quick and easy game play, it'll be enjoyable for casual players but also a fun diversion for the more seasoned poker pros."

Jadestone has been working on DiceArena for two years now. The platform for the games is based on the existing poker platforms and contains similar features the most important of which is multiplayer turn-based games. Like online poker rooms the revenue model for the gaming operators will based on rakes and tournament fees. Jadestone Networks, a subsidiary of Jadestone will be running and maintaining the back-end server platform and will be providing multi-lingual support to both gaming operators and online players.

For the online players there will be a feeling of fun and social interaction. Highlighting this aspect of DiceArena Linus Dalin, Product Director at Jadestone said, "The whole experience is designed to be about fun and excitement rather than hard competition. We want the game play to be accessible and the look and feel to be really inviting. We've also seen in user tests that casual players enjoy the social features, like playing with the avatar editor to create their own in-game image."

When the launch does take place it will not only be the biggest new product introduction for Jadestone but one of the biggest new product introductions in the online gaming industry. Already DiceArena has signed up a number of network partners among Europe's leading gaming operators. Therefore it is expected attract heavy traffic from day one.
