Mega Moolah is different then other progressives within the Microgaming progressive jackpot network of games and the original just Mega Moolah was the first in a series of Mega Moolah themed online casino video slots that Microgaming was to develop.
The real beauty of Mega Moolah is that there are four progressive jackpots that can be won which are the mini, minor, major and mega jackpots. You definitely want to strive towards hitting the mega but the major is a nice win as well. I've one the major jackpot twice, the minor 1 time and the mini 6 times so as you can see it's one of my favorite progressive games to play and I play it quite a bit. Don't think that you'll be able to get into the progressive jackpot bonus round right away as it does take some time. You'll likely have to play though a few hundred dollars at least before you'll be able to hit it.
As a big difference from traditional progressive games that are generally won by hitting a 5x wild combination on a specific line this game works on an independent event. The game works in a way where the bigger your bet in the more likely you are to be able to trigger the event that will enter you into the progressive jackpot bonus round with the wheel that spins around where prizes for the various jackpots are awarded. There is only one field on this wheel for the mega jackpot so even if you do get into it don't get your hopes up as it's still very unlikely that you're going to hit the big jackpot. I've entered in many times and although hit some great prizes I've never been able to hit the million plus win as of yet from an online progressive game.
They started out with just the one variation of this game and now however they have 3 relatively new ones which include Mega Moolah 5 reel drive, Mega Moolah Isis and Mega Moolah Summertime. All of these games are nice and make for a great change from the standard Mega Moolah game which can get rather boring after long term play.
