Jonny Specter Details Page
To start off, one of the good things about any piece of Microgaming software is that you never have to worry about the overall safety and security of it. That having been said, this software is high-functioning and makes a lot of this game an easy experience. The graphics in this interface are very clearly laid out and there is no clutter whatsoever. And there are options, like the ability to turn the sounds on or off, the option of utilizing AutoPlay, which comes in handy if you want to participate but want to minimize your interactivity with the software itself. You want stats? Jonny Specter has them for you, allowing you to keep track of the number of spins you've made, as well as the highest wins you've had.
Easy to Understand (9)
We don't figure there is anything too difficult to figure out in this game, although it may take some explaining about how the Jonny Specter logo is different than Jonny Specter the character himself. But he's the guy with the ghostbusting machine. If you're stuck, Microgaming has built in some really good Help files.
Graphics & Sounds (10)
There is some intricacy to the graphics, and they are very well done. The overall scheme of the game, coordinating graphics and colors, makes for an atmosphere that is sharp, yet very easy on the eyes. And it is not the easiest thing in the world to work the "wandering wild" into the game, but the designers at Microgaming have done just that. We like the soundtrack because it adds something to the game. But if you don't think it does, you have the option of eliminating win sounds, background sounds, game sounds, or all three.
Theme and Concept (10)
The theme is very strong. We actually thought that it was based on a popular video game or children's show, but it isn't. But that is how expertly Microgaming has created the theme and its characters. You might be able to easily identify with this if you remember the "Ghostbusters" films starring Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. The bonus games work very well into the existing theme.
Game Features (9)
Jonny Specter has two bonus games. One of them is the Ghost Busting Bonus Game, which which is activated by a Mansion symbol that appears on Reel 5. It's simple - you choose one of three ghosts that are displayed, and you win the random bonus amount that ghost represents. The Free Spins Bonus Game is activated with the scatter symbol, which in this game is the Dead Ghost. When three or more of them appear anywhere on the reels, you're going to go right to the game, which offers 13 free spins. All wins during the game are doubled. And on each of the free spins one of the reels becomes "wild," which means all the symbols on the reel are wild. If, during the process of the Free Spins Game, you get three or more Dead Ghosts, you will win an additional 13 spins.
Betting Options (8)
The minimum coin size is .01, with a maximum of .50. With 20 paylines available, the maximum wager in this game is 100 coins. That is not a huge number. Microgaming allows you to go right to the maximum bet on this game by clicking on the "Bet Max" button, which is in yellow at the bottom right-hand of the interface.
You can click "View Pays" which appears at the bottom left of the reels to check the payouts on each of the individual symbol combinations. The maximum payout on the Jonny Specter logo is 3000 coins. Five Jonny Specter characters in a payline will yield 1800 coins. There is a nice balance of payouts on the other symbols, almost all the way down the line.
