Microgaming Casinos Announce Grand Slam Qualifiers

Last week the Microgaming powered Fortune Lounge group of online casino became the first to announce qualifiers to the Grand Slam of Slots II tournament. Now two other popular online casino groups have announced qualifying tournaments for their players. Over the coming weeks most if not all Microgaming online casinos will join in. The Jackpot Factory group having brands like All Slots online casino and All Jackpots online casino has also made an announcement from its licensing jurisdiction of Kahnawake in Quebec. The other Microgaming online group to announce qualifiers was the Palace group. The leading brand of this group is Spin Palace online casino. Both announcements pointed out that the prize pool for the Grand Slam of Slots II starts at a whopping $360,000 and the more players take part, the bigger this prize pool will grow. There is a bonus prize of $2.43 million in Gold Bullion. This is not a randomly chosen odd amount. Thunderstruck II is a 243 ways to win slot game and that is the reason for the $2.43 million prize.

The first edition of the Grand Slam of slots was held in 2009 from October 22 to November 2. It was played on Tomb Raider, which is another landmark Microgaming online slot game. The first place winner received a prize of €1million. It was the first tournament in the history of online gaming to offer a top prize of a million. 481 other players shared the remainder of the €1.3 million prize pool.
