High Roller Bonuses at Online Casinos

It is a fact that high rollers drive online casinos. Though they may be fewer in number than the regular players they contribute more to the revenue of the online casinos. Therefore when formulating its strategy, which includes promotions and bonuses, online casinos have to make sure that they cater to high rollers.

There are two approaches adopted by online casinos in designing welcome bonuses for high rollers. The first is to create separate and independent bonuses for high rollers. These provide for large bonuses on large deposits. Casino Tropez has a scheme of this type. Regular players can avail of a bonus of 100% of the first deposit subject to an upper limit of $100. Therefore if they deposit $50 they get a bonus of $50 and if they deposit $100 they get a bonus of $100. Under this scheme if a high roller wants to deposit $1,000 he will still get a bonus of only $100. This will clearly not attract high rollers. Therefore Casino Tropez has a separate high roller bonus for the first deposit. If a player makes a first deposit of $1,000 or more he will get a flat bonus of $500. He will also be given exclusive membership to the Casino Tropez VIP club. The wagering requirements for the high roller bonus are double that of the regular bonus but this is something high rollers will not mind. From the second deposit onwards the bonuses for both regular players and highly rollers is the same.

The second approach adopted by online casinos is to have a unified bonus for all players. However the bonus perimeters are so set that high rollers can derive the kind of benefits they seek. In this case the regular players will not be able to exploit the bonus completely but will derive benefits commensurate with their levels of wagering. Go Casino offers a bonus of this type. It is believed to be the largest welcome bonus in the online casino industry amounting to $20,000 maximum over the first 20 deposits. High rollers can make deposits of $1,000 and claim $1,000 as the 100% bonus each time. Not everyone can make such deposits. Regular players can make deposits starting from $25 and go up to whatever level is convenient for them, so long as they do not exceed $1,000 per deposit. Each time they will receive a bonus that is equal to their deposit. Hence this bonus keeps both kinds of players satisfied. Regular players should realize that with their modest levels of wagering they will not be able to exploit the $20,000 limit to the full.

Aladdin's Gold Casino goes one step further. It does not specify any upper limit on the welcome bonus. For the first seven days after joining the casino players can claim the 200% bonus any number of times they want on any amount they want. If a high roller can make a deposit of $1,000 a day he can claim a bonus of $14,000 in seven days, but will have to meet the wagering requirements. On the other hand if a regular player finds that he can only deposit $100 in the first week he will have to be satisfied with the bonus of $200.

The first approach makes high rollers feel a little more special because they have been accorded exclusive treatment, but if players view the issue logically then both approaches are essentially the same and serve the same purpose.

These kinds of bonuses definitely aren't for everyone. I'm not sure what's actually better having two different bonuses for players or just one big bonus that could appeal to both larger players or smaller players.

Don't know about them for me really but I do think that every bonus has a purpose and the high roller bonus obviously appeals mostly to those with a lot of money to burn. I think that online casinos like Go Casino and with their current bonus and because they don't discern between players and allow you to take advantage of a small bonus or big bonus sums though the same bonus is a great concept.

I've always been a fan of bigger bonuses but only when they make sense from the standpoint of the wagering requirements which quite honestly a lot of the time they really don't. As a result though it's always a good idea to be clear on this stuff and to take a good look at the bonus requirements and terms and conditions before accepting any such bonuses.
