Cryptologic To Offer More Games To 888.com

In a press release from its headquarters in Dublin in Ireland, Cryptologic has announced that 888.com will launch five more Cryptologic games at its online casinos by the end of 2009. With the existing three Cryptologic games already on offer, the total will reach eight games by the year end.

Cryptologic is offering its games at 888.com online casino as a part of the agreement between Cryptologic and 888 Holdings plc. 888 Holdings owns a number of online gambling sites that include the flagship online casino brand 888.com and Casino-on-Net.com. The other sites owned by 888 Holdings plc are pacificpoker.com, 888ladies.com and 888sport.com. This agreement was signed in May 2008 and envisaged the delivery of 13 Cryptologic games to 888.com for a three year licensing period. It is expected that the balance five games will be delivered in the first quarter of 2010.

Gigi Levy, CEO of 888 Holdings plc, also expressed confidence in the partnership stating, Cryptologic’s games have earned acclaim from our players, and delivered strong numbers for our business. We are confident that these new Cryptologic games will be both popular and profitable."

Under the agreement signed last year, 888.com will select and integrate casino games from the Cryptologic suite that best complement its own range of online casino games. It is not yet known which five games will be added this year, but the existing games are Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four and Bejeweled. Spider-Man and The Fantastic Four are from the Marvel Comics branded slots series and Bejeweled is from the Casual Games series. It was natural for 888.com to have chosen Spider-Man because Spider-Man is by far the most popular of the Marvel Comics superheroes. The Fantastic Four has certain unique features. Each of the Fantastic Four superheroes and their archenemy, Dr. Doom, figure as wild symbols with each appearing only on specified reels. The animations of the Fantastic Four show off their super powers. And when free spins are triggered the players can choose from five different games. Bejeweled too is a unique game. The brightly colored jewel symbols appear on a 5 x 5 matrix with paylines running both horizontally and vertically. When symbols make winning combinations they offer payouts and disappear. Symbols then fall down to fill the empty places and possibly create fresh winning combinations. With games like these there is little wonder that 888.com wants to offer Cryptologic online casino games to its players.
