Cryptologic Signs Deal with Bet24

From its headquarters in Dublin, Cryptologic has announced in a press release that it has signed a licensing agreement with the Scandinavian online gaming company Bet24. This is a prestigious agreement for Cryptologic because Bet24, owned by Modern Times Group, is a leading international entertainment broadcasting group with the second largest geographical broadcast footprint in Europe. It offers online products like poker, sports betting, casino, games and lotto

As per the terms of the agreement Cryptologic will license at least 10 of its most popular online casino games to Bet24 and will include both branded and non-branded slot games. These games will be launched in the Games portal of Bet24 and not in its regular online casino. Two games, Cubis and Bejeweled, are already live and the remaining will be launched in stages throughout this year. Cryptologic will receive recurring revenues based on wagers placed by Bet24's customers on these games

The Cryptologic games are being made available to Bet24 through Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS). In January 2009 Cryptologic had entered into a strategic partnership with GTS for providing its casino games to operators using the Enhanced Gaming Engine proprietary platform of GTS. The GTS customer list includes the biggest names in online gaming such as Unibet, bwin, 888, Expekt, and Betclick.

Justin Thouin, Cryptologic's Vice President, said, "Bet24 is our first new licensee of 2010 and builds on the strong momentum of new customers gained by Cryptologic in 2009. With a growing roster of leading online gaming operators, Cryptologic continues to increase its reach across the global player community with its compelling branded gaming content." Kim Larsen, Casino and Games Manager of Bet24, was equally enthusiastic about the deal. He said that the objective of Bet24 was to provide its customers with the best gaming products available in the market. The agreement with Cryptologic would enable them to do just that.

Cubis and Bejeweled, the two games that Bet24 customers are already enjoying, are from the Casual Game Series of Cryptologic. Instead of the usual symbols on the reels Bejeweled has brightly colored precious stones shapes and Cubis has brightly colored cubes. In Bejeweled the symbols appear within a two dimensional matrix and in Cubis they appear on three faces of a cube. The highlight of these games is that once a winning combination appears the symbols disappear and new ones take their place thus giving an opportunity for further winning combinations to appear. Hence there can be multiple payouts in the same spin. It is little wonder that these games are so much in demand.
