Cryptologic Bejeweled Live at Unibet

The leading online gaming software provider, Cryptologic, announced through a press release that one of its "top performing slot games" was live at the website of Unibet. This slot game is Bejeweled, which belongs to the branded Casual Game series of slots from Cryptologic.

The agreement between Cryptologic and Unibet goes well beyond this one game. The multi-year agreement envisages at least ten Cryptologic games being delivered at the Unibet website. Six games will be go live by the end of 2009 and at least three more games will go live in early 2010. It is expected that more than 3.6 million players at the Unibet website will benefit from this deal. Cryptologic too will benefit from this deal because it will receive a percentage of the wagers placed on its games throughout the currency of the agreement.

The Cryptologic games will be delivered through Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS). GTS offers casino games to a large number of leading online gaming sites, of which Unibet is one, through its Enhanced Gaming Engine (EdGE), a proprietary games platform. Others customers of GTS include bwin, 888, Expekt, and Betclick. In January 2009 Cryptologic had entered into a separate agreement with GTS for providing its games to customers of GTS.

Since late last year Cryptologic has embarked on a strategy of licensing its games to online casino operators through their existing software platforms. Apart from the customers of GTS, Cryptologic has also delivered games to the customers of Orbis Technology. This strategy has worked well and has resulted in significantly greater market penetration for the popular branded online slots from Cryptologic. Unibet is the 29th licensee of Cryptologic for such an agreement.

Unibet was founded in 1997 and is one of the largest European online gambling portals. It offers products like sports betting, live betting, casino, poker, lotteries, bingo and soft games. The popularity of Unibet can be gauged from the fact that eGaming Review has awarded it twice in three years. The Cryptologic games will be available at the soft games portal of Unibet and not at their regular online casino. At this portal Unibet already offers a number of other branded online slot games including some of the best from Microgaming. The Microgaming slots include Tomb Raider, Mega Moolah and Hitman.
